Bye for now

Hola everyone.

I hope you had a great start of the week. I just wanted to inform you that I’ll be going on a short hiatus from blogging so I can completely focus on my exams and the end of this semester. As you know, I really want to study in London after my bachelor and in order to able to do that I have to bring home some good grades, so until the 2nd of July, uni will be my priority. I’m really sorry to let you down, but I hope you can understand.

.

But just to give you and also myself a little something to look forward to, I’ll be back in exactly two weeks with stories about not only one, but two concerts – Paramore and The 1975 (maybe I’ll split them into two posts). The concerts will be my end-of-semester celebration, I’m more than excited and so looking forward to them.

.

Anyways, I hope you’re not too disappointed and I already can’t wait to be back in two weeks. Thanks for your understanding, I really appreciate it. You’re awesome. And until then I wish you an amazing time and good luck with your exams, if you like me still have to get past them. We can do it. And, as always, thanks for reading. x

I’m back

Hola everyone.

Helloooooooooo. I’m baaaaack. And this time I’m back to stay (at least I hope so). Oh my god, you can’t imagine how much I missed talking to you guys and just literally writing. It feels like I just got home again and slipped into my coziest blanket on the couch. I’m home. And I feel so relieved.

.

And yes, uni is over. FINALLY. I thought summer break would never come. Do you know how annoying and torturing it is, to scroll through Facebook and other social medias and just see how all the other people on this planet are enjoying their summer holidays and chilling their life and you’re just sitting in your dark room, hammering facts into your head you’ll probably forget two days after the exam. It’s horrible. Seriously. I was so frustrated, that I wanted to burn something down. Relax, I didn’t – or did I…?

.

What about the exams, you ask? To be honest, they were pretty amazing. I mean, I studied a lot, that’s like one of my characteristics. But the thing is, this time the topics were so much more interesting for me. The last semester, I literally just memorized everything so I could just remember it at the test and that was it. It just wasn’t interesting AT ALL. But this time it was different and I think that made a big difference. Anyway, I smashed the exams and am finally free, which feels like pure heaven.

.

There are so many things I want to tell you. All the things that happened and all the things that are going to happen. But I’ll keep most of it for the future (which means the next weeks) and just tell you the most important things.

.

Today I’m meeting up with friend to watch The Conjuring 2, which I know that you know that I’m hyper excited to finally see, I seriously can’t wait. Oh and to chat, because we both had exams the last month and didn’t have much time to talk so we have a lot of stories to tell each other, which is always super amazing.

.

Oh and today in two days I’ll be already walking down the streets of Copenhagen with my mum. And before you freak out, of course I’ll tell you everything about it and you guessed right, my camera will be with me, as always, and I’ll try show you the beauty of Copenhagen when I get back. Oh and we’re going to see Coldplay there and my mum is literally so damn excited for the concert, because she wanted to see the band for years and on Wednesday her dream will finally come true. Which I’m very very very happy for her, because usually I’m the one who’s drawing her to concert and the one who’s nearly fainting when the acts finally enter the stage and this time it’s the exact opposite. I can’t wait to see her get all fangirly and scream out the lyrics. It will be just wonderful. And besides, Coldplay are like a dream live so I can’t wait to see them too.

.

Ummm, I guess that’s it by now. I would have material to go on forever and I wish I could, but I think it’s best to split it up. Oh, just one more thing. As I’m such a good student (hehe), I got myself a gift right afterwards. And you know me, of course it had to be something that has something to do with live music. Actually, I bought festival tickets for a electro music festival and guess what? I’ll see Martin – yes, the Martin Garrix, the most amazing DJ – again. And I’m sooooo excited, I really can’t describe it. What a dream-come-true.

.

So yeah, here’s my update. I really can’t tell you how happy I am to be back again. I just noticed now how much I actually missed it. And you can be sure, I won’t leave for a looooong time (I hope that makes you as happy as me). Oh and if you have any stores or news for me, I’d be superhappy to hear them. And until then, as always, thanks for reading and welcoming me back. x

Flower power and taking a break

Hola everyone.

This post is part of super colorful and happy and woopiedoopie but it also contains a little bit of a downside. Okay, first the negative news to get over with it. I’m currently in my last month of this semester at college, which means that I have work to do 24/7. And it’s kind of a bit stressful for me right now and I’m not really sure where I should start first and I noticed that my blog just turns into one more task for me and it’s kind of just too much for me right now. I have the feeling that I really have to 100 % concentrate on my exams and college, so I decided to take a break for a month. And I know, believe me, it breaks my heart, but I just have to focus on college. That means I’ll be back exactly in one month again, hopefully with a great ending of the semester, good grades and a lot of exciting and thrilling stories and adventures to tell you all about and amazing pictures to share with you. And please believe me, I’m really sorry.

.

Okay, now that we are all sad, let’s lift the mood again, shall we? Last week I kind of walked around in my college city and it was such a beautiful day so I took my camera with me and took some pics. And they turned out totally wonderful, mostly because there are thousands and thousands of roses blooming everywhere right now. I actually felt like in some kind of fairy tale. So, here’s a little bit of fairy tale feeling for you.

.

I hope you enjoyed this post and the pictures and forgive me for taking a break and understand my situation. I already can’t wait to be back online. See you all in one month. Thanks for reading. x

The best job EVER

Hola everyone.

I’m a college student. That means I have to pay for books, food and the adventures students go on (coffee and cinema). Of course my parents give me money if I need it, but to be honest, it’s still a good feeling to earn at least a little bit of cash yourself. So as soon as I started uni, I looked out for a cool job. And I found it.

.

I literally found the best job ever, which is so perfect for me, that I can’t even describe it. I know I know, I should finally tell you what my job is and not just talk around it. So, I got a job at the concert venue in my university city and also the most important concert venue in the whole country. You probably know by now that I’m completely obsessed with going to concerts. And this job combines it perfectly. Live music and money AND of course a lot of fun.

.

The people I work with are all so down to earth and nice and funny and mostly as young as me, it’s basically a typical student job. But the most important part is that as soon as all the visitors are inside the concert hall, we get to attend the concert as well. Of course not the whole time and not like other attendees – we can stand at the entrance, but no screaming or singing or clapping – but we always have breaks and who would I be if I didn’t rush into the venue as soon as I can? Not myself, that’s for sure.

.

I don’t get paid a lot of money, but I can go to the cinema and have a nice evening with some chai latte and cake with it and that’s all I need. And I can see bands live and go to concerts for free if I work at them and that’s more than I ever wished for when I applied for the job. When my co-workers first told me that I literally could go inside the venue and attend the concert, I nearly fainted due to the huge amount of excitement and happiness.

.

I remember two months ago I saw Sunrise Avenue and just this week I got to see Muse (such an amazing band with the coolest show ever – there were drones, DRONES) and 5 Seconds of Summer (again). I love how happy everyone is because, like, who wouldn’t be happy when they are going to a concert?

.

So yeah, it’s literally the coolest job ever and so damn perfect for me. That’s why I never want to “loose” it, because I can go to concerts, get some money and I can work whenever I have the time, it’s so relaxing. And the bosses and co-workers are so nice and cool, I literally never want to leave. Oh and did I tell you that I get to go backstage too? Just saying.

.

If any of you have got a cool student job like me or want to talk about anything and everything, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

What uni taught me (so far)

Hola everyone.

As you all probably all know, I’m currently in my second semester of university – I study journalism and communication studies. I know, two semesters aren’t that much, but they’re enough to show me what the university life is like. And university already taught me some things. So I thought why not share this special lesson with you. Let’s go.

.

  • most of the teachers couldn’t care less about your attendance
  • you will have to study A LOT more
  • don’t start revising two days before the exam, bad idea, seriously
  • every exam will probably seem like finals
  • there are many nice people walking around on this beautiful planet
  • someday you just won’t feel like going to a lecture, that’s okay (still go most of the time though, please)
  • you will meet a lot of new, interesting people and become friends with some of them
  • this is the perfect time to LIVE
  • being late is better than not going at all
  • also, there a lot of really strange people walking around on this kinda weird planet
  • water and food are essential (for some, coffee too)
  • sleep is a precious good
  • anthropology students just love asking questions and discussing things
  • exam week means hell week
  • you’ll notice that there are actually man people out there who think the same way as you
  • sometimes the teachers lie about what is important and what isn’t
  • deadlines are serious, selfish, strict and just cold-hearted
  • the more semesters, the harder it gets
  • do your homework guys
  • appreciate the time, party, meet friends, stay as happy as you can and enjoy the ride

.

There it is. My lesson that university taught me so far. I have today, I always dreamed about going to college and imagined it being like in the american movies. But it’s not really like that, at least not here. But that’s okay, because I still love it and loved it from the first second on. At the beginning it was a little bit weird and hard, I was lonely, didn’t have friends, that I saw and talked to every day, but it got better. Today I look forward to the lectures, to seeing my friends, to visit my favorite café or go shopping between lectures, when I have time. You could say that I’ve finally settled and more than happy about that. I think this time is really important, it’s the phase between being a teenager and an adult, so perch for making as many experiences and fulfilling as many dreams as possible.  The time is now, we just have to use it.

.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if any of you go to university too and want to chat, I’m here. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x

How to survive exam week

Hola everyone.

Well well… Exam week is “finally” here and it’s also time for my first ever exams at university. You can probably imagine my excitement, that comes in good and bad ways. And although it’s only the start of my university-exam-career, I had time to understand how the week of hell works. So, here are some tips from me to you on how to survive exams:

  • Start soon enough, don’t wait until it’s too late and you get the stress of your life, and yeah, I know, noone likes to study
  • Eat and drink enough (it’s just exams and no reason to stop caring about yourself)
  • Don’t let anyone else stress you
  • Noone cares if you look tired, seriously, we are all tired
  • Your friends will understand if you don’t go to that one party
  • Don’t stress yourself too much, they’re just exams, you won’t die if you fail
  • Grades don’t matter that much (I know, because I had all straight As at my A-levels and noone cares until today)
  • Don’t stop doing what you love because of exams, that will just make you sad
  • Sleep is precious and you need it, don’t cut down on it
  • Your brain is your new best friend
  • Listening to music can help you to calm down (at least it does that for me)
  • Even if it’s stressful, you need to chill and rest a little
  • Procrastinating is bad for you, even if the fly on the wall is much more interesting than the book in front of you
  • Your social life is still important, don’t isolate yourself completely
  • Take breaks there and then
  • Just breath
  • You can do anything you want
  • You are strong enough
  • JUST DO IT

I hope this helps some of you surviving the week of hell. I know you can do it, just believe in yourself. Exams are just small hurdles on the exciting way called life. And we will all overcome them. So, good luck with your exams and thanks for reading. x
