2018: Wrapped

Hola everyone.

And welcome back to another Music Saturday (yeah, it’s Saturday today, just go with it). And yes, I know, shouldn’t there be a ‘New’ in there? And yes, you’re right, there usually should, but this time I left it out on purpose, because today is a very special Music Day. Because, just as the year is coming to an end, it’s also time to wrap up the year music-wise. And what a year 2018 was. A year full of amazing music. Special music. Exciting music. It’s all in there, in the folder of 2018, waiting to be discovered by you.

And just as every year, the lovely people of Spotify made it a lot easier for us all to wrap this year up. Since getting myself a premium account, the yearly statistics of my own musical behavior have been a highlight for me and something I’ve been looking forward to for weeks. And just like the two years before, they are more than accurate. But have a look for yourself.

I might just have to add that Tom has now been my favorite artist for two years straight and, honestly, I’m not surprised, not even a bit. Tom is simply an incredible artist and I absolutely adore his music. It’s that type of music that just fits every occasion. Whether it’s when I’m cooking, writing, going for a walk, shopping in the mall or just chilling, I can always have it on and it will always fit perfectly. That’s just what Tom does. He makes perfect music. And I feel more than honored and grateful that I’ll finally get to see him live next year in London. I can’t wait, honestly.

And besides that, the whole statistics are pretty much spot on. We all know why Ed is on there (obviously), The Academic were a huge phase for me at the beginning of this year due to their amazing show in Vienna (I still am deeply in love with their music, of course) and both Hippo Campus and TØP released two breathtaking albums, which, by the way, are the top two albums of the year for me. Nothing can beat those two, nothing. At least for me.

So, overall, the statistics don’t really surprise me in any way, they just make me endlessly happy. I love that I got to spend 21.538 minutes listening to amazing music this year and that I got to share most of that fantastic music with you guys. Music is just such a huge part of my life and now that I’m on my way of turning exactly that part into my career, I’m just even more thankful and happy. This is all very crazy and very special to me. And at the end of the day it’s all thanks to those incredible bands and artists out there who produce and create this art so we can all go and listen to and enjoy it.

But, as this is a Music Day, we still of course have to get to the music part. And just as every year, I thought I’d create a little playlist of my favorite tracks of 2018. Some might not be from this year, they might be really old, and some might be so new that I’ve just stumbled over them a few days ago, but just love so much that they need to be in this list. Every single song has a special meaning to me, some may even be connected to a certain memory or moment of this year. Some may be new to you, some may won’t, as I might have already shared them with you. But, in total, they all mean a lot to me and I dearly hope you enjoy them just as much as I do.

Jumpsuit – Twenty One Pilots

If there is one song that completely blew my mind this year, then it’s this one right here.

Pictures of Girls – Wallows

According to Spotify, this is the song I’ve listened to the most this year and, frankly, I’m not surprised at all.

.
Live Outside – Enter Shikari

Completely fell for this one right here after hearing it live. Way too good to not listen to it. Way too good.

Bambi – Hippo Campus

Like Jumpsuit, this one once again completely surprised me, in the best way possible. Such a bop, honestly. The whole album is.

Surprise Yourself – Jack Garratt

I rediscovered this one a few months ago and can’t get enough of it ever since. This is literal art.

Tough – Lewis Capaldi

Lewis is definitely my musical find of the year. I’m so so so glad that I discovered him, he’s honestly such a gem. And yes, he is this good live. Breathtaking, I know.

Love It If We Made It – The 1975

Although I’m not a big fan of the album overall, this song has completely won my heart. It feels a bit like we’re back in 2013 and I love that.

Neon Gravestones – Twenty One Pilots

Lyrically this is the most important song of the year for me. Once you get behind the meaning of the lyrics, this song turns into this one special piece of art that will definitely go down in history. It’s that important. And this band is that important. Also, listen to Tyler’s voice. Please listen. Holy moly.

Hope There’s Someone – Avicii

I thought about leaving this space here blank and only adding a little caption at the end just like with the ones before. But I just can’t. 2018 is coming to an end now and although, music-wise, there have been so many incredible moments, I just want to take a second right here and once again remind us all of the fact that there were also some really heartbreaking moments. And for me, the most crushing one was definitely loosing the bright star called Tim Bergling aka Avicii. I felt my heart break the moment I heard about it this April and it’s just now that I notice how tears are rolling down my cheeks writing this and listening to this song and reminding myself of the fact that we really lost him. Tim was such an important part of my musical life and I still can’t fully believe he’s gone. But I know that he will never be forgotten because of his music. He’ll live on forever, in our hearts and on the dance floors of this world. But still, Tim, I miss you. Every single day.

There are no words.

Ain’t Coming Home – Badflite

Apart from Marty’s releases, this is probably my favorite track from the empire called STMPD Records. Listen to it and you’ll know why.

Flowerss – HALFNOISE

This is definitely one of those special tracks that I will forever have a special place in my playlist, it’s just way too extraordinary to ever forget about it.

Bear Claws – The Academic

What can I say? They’re The Academic and this is just a bop right here. Can’t get enough of it.

Y2k – The Montreals

If you haven’t given The Montreals a listen until now, please please do immediately. They’re one of those bands you really have to look out for in 2019.

Alright – Lacuna Bloome

I actually have to thank BIMM for introducing me to this band, as, believe it or not, this here is actually a band from my university. How amazing is that? And how freaking awesome is the song? Pure indie goodness.

Waiting For Tomorrow – Martin Garrix & Pierce Fulton ft. Mike Shinoda

I know I’ve already talked about this, but I’ve literally been waiting for this song forever. But the wait was so worth it. So damn good.

Butter – Leyya

Please, everyone, go and listen to this while driving and turn the volume all the way up. It’s literally the coolest feeling.

Feeling Lonely – boy pablo

This is actually my most recent find, thanks to the breathtaking lineup of next year’s Sziget festival. Thanks Sziget, can’t wait to spend a week with you next year.

Woes – Tom Rosenthal

Last but surely not least – incredibly sad and incredibly beautiful – just like everything that Tom does. And yes, of course he had to be part of this list. He should be part of everyone’s list.

.

So yeah guys, there you go. Those are my favorite songs of 2018 and the tracks that made this year the years it was and is. As I said, all of them have a special meaning to me and I love them all with every cell of my body. And I really really hope you enjoy them too. Also, I’m already so excited for what’s to come in 2019.

As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And if you’ve got your Spotify statistics too, please do share them with me, I’d love to read them. Especially as I think that the music people listen to can tell you a lot about them too. Let’s be honest, music always was and still is something very intimate and personal and plain special. And that’s what I love so much about it.

Besides that, I hope you’re all doing good and wish you a nice rest of the weekend. I’m actually on my way home right now, so home home and I’m literally so damn excited. I can’t believe I haven’t been home for nearly three months. It feels like both the longest and the shortest period of time ever. And I can’t wait to finally see my pets again. Oh my god. And then it’s Christmas. God, I’m so excited. Anyways, like I said, I hope you’re all doing good and that you enjoyed this post right here. And, as always, thanks so much for reading.

Ps: On another note, something very very VERY exciting happened yesterday. Yes, you guessed right – the new Avengers trailer is out. Welcome to Avengers: Endgame. I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for this trailer and now that it’s finally here, I can’t wrap my head around it. There’s literally nothing happening in it, but at the same time, everything is happening. And we all know that the scene at the beginning might be the death of me. I swear to everything and everyone, if they kill Tony, I’m gonna sue someone for my mental and emotional suffering. I’m not even kidding. Just please let this guy have a kid and retire with Pepper in peace. Can we please do that? Thank you.

New Music Friday

Hola everyone.

And welcome back to a new session of our all time favorite series – the beloved New Music Friday. I mean, at least I hope you all love it. I do (hehe). And guys, you seriously have no idea what’s coming at you right now. Buckle up and getting ready, because this is gonna be a hell of a ride.

.

I know it’s been quite some time since the last edition of New Music Friday, which also means that tons of new music have just been waiting for me to work and listen my through them. And oh wow, to say it was quite an experience would be such an understatement. It always makes me so so so grateful for you guys and this blog, because I actually get to share my passion and love for music with the world. I’m already spending my life doing what I love the most and I’m so thankful for that. And if I get to listen to such amazing music on top of that, then that’s just the little red cherry on top. But I know you want me to stop babbling now and just get to it, so, without further ado, let’s jump right into it, shall we?

.

Someone You Loved – Lewis Capaldi

If you’ve read my recent postings, you’ll know that I’ve just had the honor of seeing this Scottish lad perform live, which was such a beautiful experience. And now, just a few days after the concert, Lewis has once again decided to bless all of our ears by releasing another EP and with it releasing this gem right here. Again, it’s one of those songs that just make your heart break and your breathing stop for a second, but in the best possible way. It’s raw and honest and sad and melodic and so so soft. Honestly, I just adore Lewis’ music so much, I can’t help myself. I mean, listen to it. How breathtaking is this?

.

.

You Know Me Too Well – Nothing But Thieves

You guys know that I’ve been in love with these guys for quite some time now, so it probably won’t be a surprise to you to hear that I freaked out a bit when I saw that they had released a new EP. And if that wasn’t enough, the EP featured this piece of musical heaven that I can’t get enough of. For me, especially this one track is a completely new sound for them and I’m so up for it. It’s refined and soulful and the rhythm just completely draws you into it within the very first second. Also, can we please take a moment to appreciate Conor’s voice? God, it’s so amazing. Well one, guys, well freaking done.

.

.

Love – Imagine Dragons

Like I said at the beginning, there’s has been quite a huge mass of new music waiting for me and this one right here is no different. And it couldn’t get any newer than this one, as this amazing band just released their new album “Origins” today. And holy moly, what a masterpiece that is. Honestly. I mean, I’m usually the indie rock/pop kinda girl and if this album doesn’t do one thing, then it’s indie rock. But I still adore every piece of it. What is happening to me? Since when do I like this kind of music? It’s nearly unfair to be this good at making music. The lyrics are fantastic and truthful, every single track hides a bit of a secret and surprise and last but not least the amazing beats. Those are what make this album get a kind of EDM vibe to it. It’s so heavenly produced and even if you don’t like this type of music, you just have to appreciate the flawless production. And “Love” is just as awesome. I love it. Also, please listen to the lyrics. That’s what I’m talking about. (ps: please use headphones while listening to this, seriously)

.

.

Worst Nites – Foster The People

My boys are baaaack. Finally. See, that’s what I would call a groovy, flowy and funky piece of music. It’s one of those songs that just make you smile and your body move. And as with every Foster The People track it’s just another musical surprise. So, guys, when can I finally see you live? Please go on tour, yes? Thank you.

.

.

Bleed Magic – I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME

This is one of those songs I once again have to thank Spotify for for recommending it to me. And no, I’m not screaming, that’s truly this band`s name. I don’t even want to imagine how many of my now favorite artists I wouldn’t know if it wasn’t for this platform and its amazing, personalized mixes. And once you listen to the song, you know exactly why they chose to put it on my playlist. That’s indie rock/pop at its best. It’s rhythmic and weird and just pure fun. A typical Laura song, I would say. Also, it reminds me of how a song would sound if you put The Killers and Weezer into one box and quickly shook it to get it all mixed up. A Weezer and The Killers baby. And what a beautiful one.

.

.

Sula – Hippo Campus

So, here we are again. Back with one of my favorite boys. But let me tell you one thing – this track right here is everything but new. Actually, this is one of those songs that didn’t make it onto their albums, so they just decided to release them on their own now. And honestly, I think that’s actually the most fantastic idea ever. Imagine how many songs and hidden gems never made it onto the EPs or albums of your favorite artists and are now just waiting to be released. I’m looking at you, Ed. Yes, you. Go on. But jokes aside, “Sula” honestly is an amazing piece of art and I’m so happy that they decided to put it out into the world. Thanks guys.

.

.

Echo – Saint Raymond

And last but not least we have Callum, better known as Saint Raymond, once again blessing us with his angelic voice. I don’t know about you, but I just adore his music so freaking much. I’ve been in love with it from the very first time I saw him live, which was also the first time I saw Ed live. Two incredible singer-songwriters packed into one evening, what a dream come true. But honestly, I’m still so thankful that Callum was part of this show. And I’m so happy that he’s back with some brilliant new music.

.

.

So yeah, there you go guys. That’s another New Music Friday right there. I hope you enjoy these tracks as much as I do. Honestly, I really recommend checking out some new music playlists on Spotify or Apple Music or Amazing Music or whatever. You can never know what’s waiting to be checked out by you. Maybe your new favorite song is just a click away. And maybe you even find your new fave in this list. I’d be super happy if that was the case. And even it isn’t, I still hope you enjoy this little playlist.

.

As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. I hope you’re all doing good and wish you a great weekend. And, of course, thanks for reading. x

Ps: Guys, guess who managed to get tickets for the one and only Tom Rosenthal today?! And no, I’m not kidding. Tom is seriously doing some shows live in London next year and I’m being part of it. I can’t believe it. I would’ve never thought that that would really happen. I feel like the luckiest person on the planet, honestly.

New Music Friday

Hola everyone.

And welcome back to another edition of New Music Friday. A late night version this time, because, well, where I’m right now it’s pretty late already. But let’s be honest, there’s always time for some good new music, especially on a blog like this one, right? So, without further ado, let’s get right to it – here are some new songs I’ve been digging the past days or weeks or even just hours (yep, that’s how new some of them are).

.

Bambi by Hippo Campus

Some of you may already know this band from my previous posts, but if you don’t, welcome to this completely new experience, you’re going to love it, trust me. Because Hippo Campus just popped up with this new single and holy moly, what a good one that is. I fell for it the second I heard it. And then even more when I saw that they had also released their upcoming tour dates – guess who’s coming to Brighton when I’m there too… I can’t believe it, I would have never guessed that I would ever see this band live. But here I am, already counting the days to it. I seriously can’t wait to hear this song live.

.

.

To You Alone (acoustic version) by Tom Rosenthal

Well, what can I say? There’s no music list without Tom being a part of it, it’s simply impossible. And as if his music wasn’t beautiful enough already, Tom has now decided to bring out a sleepy album (I think I already mentioned it in a past posting), which means he’s producing even more relaxed and quiet versions of his songs, so that people can fall asleep while listening to them. And it works, at least it did for me, because when this song came out at midnight, I crawled into bed and listened to it in an endless loop and then, well, it knocked me out, pretty much. So yes, it’s a beautiful song and I love it. Oh, and it also perfectly fits for rainy weather. Well done Tom, as always.

.

.

My Blood by Twenty One Pilots

Attention everyone, we’ve got an extra special piece of music here. If you guys know Twenty One Pilots, you also probably know that they don’t really fit into genres. Josh and Tyler don’t just produce one certain kind of music, they basically experiment, all the time. So it was no surprise that their new song, this one right here, basically knocked me off my feet. It’s such a unique and also new sound for them and has such cool indie pop vibes to it. I love it so so so much. And I love the boys for surprising us all over and over again.

.

.

Bee-Sting by The Wombats

This song literally came out of nowhere, I swear guys. I wasn’t even ready and suddenly there it was, right in my recommendations on Spotify. And holy moly, what a great song this is. I mean, you all know how much I like The Wombats and I’d say that this little number here perfectly fits into their album, but it’s also just so good on its own. The drums and the guitars and of course the vocals – it just fits. And I’ve always loved a great indie bop, so thanks guys.

.

.

Y2k by The Montreals

To be honest, I just stumbled over this song thanks to Spotify and immediately liked it so much that I had to share it with you. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you about The Montreals, but they are one of those bands of mine that always come on when I just put my playlist on shuffle, which doesn’t make them any less amazing, of course. They produce this really cool indie pop music that is packed with happy, excited vibes and I completely dig that. But just like TOP, they wanted to surprise us all and released this fantastic song that sounds so new and modern and old and retro at the same time. It’s just so cool.

.

.

So yeah guys, I think that’s it. Those are all the new bops out there that I’ve been loving the most lately. I really do hope that you enjoy them too, so please don’t hesitate to leave your comments down below. And until then I wish you all a great night and an amazing weekend. And, as always, thanks for reading. x

Let’s talk about Tom

Hola everyone.

As most of you probably know, when it comes to music, I’m head over heels in love with Indie music. Two Door Cinema Club, Nothing But Thieves, The Wombats and Twenty One Pilots are just a few of the bands that make my heart leap a little bit while listing to their music. This kind of music has been dominating my taste in music the past years, since 2013, when I finally started developing a good taste (thank god). But as pretty much everyone on this planet, I don’t always stick to my own rules, which is why I’d always fly to Amsterdam again to see Martijn or to Zürich to see Ed live. They both couldn’t be any more different to Indie music, but nonetheless they are two of my favorite musicians and biggest loves. And today I’d like to talk about another one of those special voices and musicians, that I couldn’t live without anymore. Today I’d like to talk about the one and only Tom Rosenthal.

.

First of all, let me introduce you to Tom. Tom is an English singer-songwriter (of course), who lives in London together with his family – he has two young daughters, so cute – and has been making music since, like, forever, pretty much, by which I mean that he released his very first singles and album in 2011. Since then he has been making and putting music out there about every year or month or so. And right now he’s working on a sleepy album (many people go to sleep while listening to his music, which totally makes sense, trust me) and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m already so deeply in love with it, although I haven’t heard anything from it. I just know it’s going to be breathtakingly good.

.

But what about his music? Well, if I had to describe it, I would say that it’s the kind of music you want to listen to while you sit outside, on a warm summer night, maybe with some friends, looking at the stars. It’s what you want to listen to when you feel at ease, in total peace with the world. But above that all, it’s the kind of music that is literally meant to be listened to on a drive home at midnight while you stare out of the window at the night sky. That’s the kind of music Tom makes. And let me tell you something, it’s literally pure heaven, and I’m not even exaggerating there, it truly is. It’s sad and happy at the same time, so peaceful and emotional, both fast and slow and it breaks your heart and mends it right after that. Actually, it’s pretty much impossible to describe his music and to put into words how much I love it. Especially the past months I’ve been listening to his songs 24/7. For me it’s the perfect soundtrack to work to, write texts and so on. Oh and of course it’s amazing for a peaceful, chill cooking session. God, I just love it so much. It makes me want to feel alive, to enjoy my life and experience literally everything. It’s really a pure gift, honestly.

.

I actually came across Tom’s music while watching one of Will’s videos (Will Darbyshire – my photography idol). And I immediately fell for it. Unfortunately it took me quite a while to finally look him up and start listening to his songs, but since then he’s been a stable, seriously. He even was my most listened artist in 2017 – thanks to Spotify for all the analytical stuff – and that’s really saying something. And as I always dedicate posts to my favorite artists, I thought that a post about Tom and his music was well overdue, so here it is.

.

But that’s actually all I’m able to tell you about Tom’s music, as telling you more would just spoil it or wouldn’t do it enough justice. His music speaks enough for itself. You don’t even need my talk, it’s all about his songs. So please, guys, enjoy the following list of my favorite songs by Tom – and yes, it was indeed far too hard to choose, but I did it. And apart from listening to his bloody amazing songs you also get to experience his awesome videos, which are a form of art on themselves, let’s be honest.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

So yeah guys, there you go. That’s Tom Rosenthal, one of the biggest musical geniuses out there. I thoroughly hope you enjoy his music as much as I do and that it inspires you. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And yeah, I hope you’re all doing good and wish you an amazing weekend. And, of course, thanks for reading. x

Ps: Here’s a little sneak peek of Tom’s upcoming sleepy album… and yes, it is indeed one of the best one minute music clips ever made.

New Music Friday

Hola everyone.

And we’re back with a new “New Music Friday“. I hope you’re all doing good and had an awesome week. Just a little update from my side: this week has been pretty amazing and god, guys, the sun is finally out and it’s just so nice. Walking around in Vienna at night has been my favorite thing to do lately, it’s so warm. I’m also already looking forward to the weekend and I hope you are too and that this little selection of songs can contribute to your weekend playlist. Please enjoy.

.

Thought I Told You – The Academic

If you’ve been following some of my latest posts, then you know that this is the band I just saw live last week (here’s the post). And I mean, I loved their music before, but since then I’ve learned to really appreciate the fact that I got to see them live. They’re really awesome.

.

.

Standing On Ghosts – Two Door Cinema Club

Well, well, well. Who would’ve known that TDCC was hiding such a bop from me all these years. You guys know my relationship with this band and I just adore their music, especially their older songs, and this is one of those. They just recently released it again to celebrate the anniversary of their very first album. And thank god they did, because this here is freaking amazing.

.

.

Moving On – Sarah and the Sundays

This is one of the songs, that Spotify recommended to me and I just adore it. I mean, it perfectly fits this time of the year, when everything starts to bloom and become alive again. The perfect song to listen to while lying in the sun, maybe reading a good book or chatting with a friend.

.

.

Fresh Air – FLOWVERS

The same goes for this sun. Such a fantastic spring/sommer song. I don’t know how the algorithms of Spotify work, but hell, whatever they are doing, they are doing it bloody well. They give me exactly what I need.

.

.

Sad Boys / All I Wanna Do – TRASH

This here is one of those bands where I love listening to their music but never really go into my fangirl mode. But that doesn’t change the fact that their music is freaking amazing. And again, thanks to Spotify for recommending this and pretty much all their other songs to me, I owe you one.

.

.

Ride Or Die – The Knocks ft. Foster The People

Guys, if you want to listen to the spring/summer song of the moment, then you just reached the right place. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty convinced that it’s this one. I’ve seriously heard this song in pretty much every single store I’ve been to the past week. It’s literally everywhere. And the thing is, it’s actually so awesome. I mean, I love Foster The People and their sound is perfect for this song. It just fits.

.

.

Cos Love (If You Miss It) – Tom Rosenthal

I’m sorry guys, but it wouldn’t be a music playlist without Tom being a part of it. I just love his music so much. Tom, can you please go on tour, like, right now? Or at least when I’ve moved to the UK? Please. He’s literally my number one on my list of musicians I want to see live. I need to hear this song live. I need to hear all of his songs live. According to him, this song right here is the best song he’s ever written and I mean, I can’t deny that. It’s just so cute and romantic and sad. I love it.

.

.

So yeah guys, there you go. Those are the songs I’ve been loving the past days and weeks. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Oh and please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts down below. And, as always, I wish you all an amazing weekend and thanks for reading. x

New Music Monday

Hola everyone.

Welcome to a new week and welcome to a new Music Monday. I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are all doing good. And in order to start this week off just right, I thought I’d share some of my newest music loves with you guys. So please enjoy.

.

The Vaccines – Nightclub

I have to say when I first saw this song in my recommendations, I was a little bit skeptical. Mostly because I saw them live two years ago at Reading festival and let me just say, it wasn’t their best performance. So spotting that song in my playlist was a little surprising. But actually, I am so so happy that I gave it a chance, because this song is freaking amazing, no joke. Especially the beat and rhythm from the guitars are mind-blowingly good. It’s that kind of song where you just have to pop your head to it.

.

.

The Wombats – I Only Wear Black

This song is one of their new album called “Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life” and just to mention it, how freaking amazing is that title? It’s a masterpiece. And also this song here is so damn fantastic. And besides that it also fits perfectly, as I also love sticking to black outfits. And the song overall is just so fun to listen to.

.

.

Airways – White Noise Boys

This is a song I just found out about recently and immediately recognized – it’s of the band which supported Nothing But Thieves on their tour, which means that I basically already heard that song live. And yeah, it’s just so so good. I can really just recommend you giving this band a listen.

.

.

Bears in Trees – Good Rhymes for Bad Times

Another new edition to my playlist, which I’m so happy about. It’s just such a fun and uplifting song, it always puts a smile on my face.

.

.

HalfNoise – Flowerss

I know what you’re thinking while listening to this one – what a strange song. And yes, it is indeed pretty strange. But it’s also so so so good. It’s perfect for pretty much any situation, as it’s so relaxing and I don’t know, it just has such a cool vibe to it, I don’t know how to describe it. I like it very very much. Also, fun fact – it’s the musical project of Zac Farro, the drummer of Paramore. How freaking cool is that? No wonder the song is such an amazing piece of music.

.

.

Tom Rosenthal – Got Gold

Guys, I have the best news ever – Tom is back with new music and it’s so damn good, I can already feel myself falling deeper and deeper in love with his music, if that’s even possible. I’m so thankful for finding Tom and his music, I don’t know what I’d do without it. And this song here is no different.

.

.

Kytes – Inner Cinema

Don’t you guys love it when a concert introduces you to a new band? Maybe you fall in love with the support act or maybe, as in my case, you hear a song being played while waiting for the band to come on stage and you can feel yourself listening to it and enjoying it. And then you get your Shazam app out and save the song and there you have it, a new amazing song for you to enjoy. And this song is Inner Cinema by Kytes for me. I heard it at the The Hunna gig and I just fell for it. It’s such a good song and such a cool band.

.

Ed Sheeran – Live in Dublin

And last but not least, it is my duty as a Sheerio to present you this beauty of a one and a half hour long, complete live show by the one and only Ed Sheeran. I recently watched it again and I guess that I don’t have to mention that I pretty much cried my eyes out because my heart was nearly bursting due to all the hurt and love I felt at the same time. See, that’s how Ed and his music make me feel. It’s a damn emotional rollercoaster. But that’s what I love about it, about him. And this show right here, it just perfectly shows how unbelievably talented he is. I mean, please really go and check out the show, you won’t regret it, I swear. I was speechless while watching him sing his heart out, his talent is just too much to cope with. I’m so thankful that I get to live in the same time period as him and that I get to be his fan. Because, I mean, just look at and listen to him. Literally perfect.
