Berlin update #2

Hola everyone.

As you probably all know – or some of you – I’m currently living in the beautiful city named Berlin. And I thought I’d give you a little update on how life is going and has changed since the last update.

.
So, it has been two weeks of living here and I have to say, compared to a week ago, life here has really changed, but in a very good way, thank god. First of all, I think I finally got more used to being here. I mean, I still can’t realize that I am in Berlin, but hey, at least I am now comfortable in the city.

.
Also, the reason I’m better is probably because of the Panic! concert. It really brought me a lot of happiness and inspiration, enough to be as happy as I can for the whole week and maybe even the next one too. And of course I got to know the city more. Google is my best friend at the moment. I strolled through the city all week, looking where all my favorite shopd are, where my washing salon is located, how I can get from A to B and so on. And that really helped.

.
Oh and on the last part, my friend Lisa and her boyfriend visited me for four days and that just made everything so much better. I was so happy to see them, talk to them, go out and habe dinnee together and so on. It felt really good to actually see someone from home again. Those days were really amazing. Oh and speaking from home, I’m planning on flying home at the beginning of december and that is making me so freaking happy. I’m already looking forward to doing nothing but cuddle with my two babies and see my family again.

.
Besides that, I’m really glad that I have internet here, the aspect that I’m talking to my friends and family every single day from day to night makes me feel less alone and just really happy. Oh and me and mum are calling eachother every single day, that’s our strict rule and we stick to that.

.
So yeah, that’s my life currently here. So far, every single day here has been an adventure and something new for me. Which is really exciting. Overall, I can say that I’m happy that I decided to do this, although I miss home like crazy. But that’s the price I have to pay.

.
If any of you want to talk to me about my life here, don’t hestitate to hit me up. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Brighton

Hola everyone.

I’m baaaaack. Finally. And I can tell you, my trip was fantastic. Brighton is such a beautiful, magnificent city. With all the cute, colorful building, the pier, the sea, the lanes and of course the beach. I loved it, honestly. And I think my mum did too, although she’s more of a beach with palm trees, sand and peace. But Brighton is more like the pebble beach, a lot of people and no trees at all beach. But to be honest, I still loved it.

.

I especially loved the lanes there, those are the cute little shopping streets, full of vintage shops and special ones too, and of course the colorful houses. But most of all I liked how much the whole city reminded me of my faves. Like, as some of you may know, Brighton is Conors hometown, so wherever I went, I always had the thought of him walking at the same place in the back of my head. We even went to visit the venue Conor had his first concert in, a place called “The Haunt”. It meant so much to be to be there.

.

And apart from that, it’s also the city of Pewdiepie, Marzia and Zoella and so many more YouTubers. Which is so so so crazy. I always asked myself why they all chose to live there, but now I get it. It’s really beautiful and special. Mum and me went to a painting pottery cafe which I remembered from one of Marzias vlogs. And I have to say, it was really really cool. I chose to paint one heart and draw Brighton on it and many more (I’ll show it to you in my upcoming haul post, so stay tuned). And it came out even more beautiful afterwards than it was when I left it there to be finished by the staff there. I think this was one of those experiences that are really special, mainly because I know that I won’t be able to find such a cafe anywhere else that quick. And whenever I look at the heart on my wall, I’ll remember that trip and how amazing it was.

.

Unfortunately I didn’t meet anyone, but just knowing that Pewds was in the same city as me at the same time was unbelievable. We even walked past the street his house is supposed to be – we didn’t walk up to be because that would be super weird and oh my god, hell no – and I have to say he chose a really nice place, right next to the beach. So thumps up for that one.

.

Besides the buildings and the beach and the shopping streets, I also think that the food there was amazing. Like, usually people say that English people can’t cook  but oh my is that wrong. Especially for my mum it was really nice to go out for dinner, as there were a lot of restaurants with vegan dishes, which was perfect for her. And I basically found my favorite meal there. One evening we were looking for a nie place to have dinner in and walked past some restaurant called “Wagamama” and I somehow knew it from somewhere, I don’t know from where until this day, but okay. And we looked at the menu and I saw that they had ramen which I had always wanted to try, so we chose to eat there. And oh my god, as I had my first sip, I flew to heaven. Food heaven. Holy moly, was that amazing. Although ramen is just a noodle soup, but it was soooo amazing. I loved it that much that we chose to go there the next evening too. So yeah, thanks to Wagamama introducing me to this delicious meal. THANK YOU.

.

Oh and I have to say, Brighton is one of the most photogenic cities I’ve ever been to, for real. Like, every pic I took looks fantastic. And that’s all thanks to the city. And of course I’ll show them to you too, that’s the purpose of this post. And as I don’t have anything else to tell you, I’ll just end this post by hoping that you enjoyed this post and the pics and by thanking you for staying with me and welcoming me back. And if any of you want to talk to me, I’m here. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x

Copenhagen

Hola everyone.

I promised you guys a huge, colorful, picture-ful post about Copenhagen and I keep my promises so here we go.

.

First of all I have to say that the city is just wonderful. It’s so damn photogenic and picturesque and beautiful and screams tumblr all over. I just loved strolling through the streets and looking at all the nice, quirky and colorful houses. I think that’s actually the best thing about it – every single house is painted in a different color and it just turns the whole city into a huge rainbow.

.

Apart from that it’s just so comforting. Probably because there is no traffic at all, if you keep away from the main streets. Because people use bikes more than cars or at least as much as cars. And it’s so relaxing to walk through the streets without the traffic noises bothering you all the time. And whenever you get away from all the typical tourist and sightseeing districts, there’s seriously none walking around in town. So it really doesn’t feel like you’re in such a big city, but you are, which makes it incredibly interesting and funny. And besides that all the buildings look so new. I mean, usually cities look old, at least in the centre. They just look worn-down and shabby. But Copenhagen is so different. The whole city looks completely new and modern, which is so fascinating. I even googled its “birth year”, which is 1167, so it’s reallyyyyyy old. But you won’t notice that when you walk around in town. It’s just so cool. Oh and my most favorite part of the city was this one small road with cute little colorful houses at both sides, it felt like I just stepped into a movie set. Just so damn beautiful.

.

Oh and the food. Oh my god, the food. I don’t even know where to start. I seriously have never eaten such a good bread, to be honest. It’s sooooooo damn good, I was really shocked when I had my first sandwich. And the pickled herring, holy moly. I’m usually not such a big fan of pickled fish, but this fish I had for breakfast at our hotel – which was really nice by the way and had the best location ever – just has to be an exception. If any of you ever get to go to Copenhagen or Denmark or any nordic country at all, please go and have some pickled herring, I swear you will love it to death, like me. And also just every single time we had dinner or ate anything else, it was wonderful and tasty every time. So Copenhagen is a really great city with really tasty food.

.

Hmmmm, what else? Oh yeah, my strangest experience of the holiday. Actually, it was all my fault. Like every time before a holiday, I googled things you should do in the city I’m going to, so I googled special tourist things of Copenhagen and came across the autonom part of the city called “Christiania”. And I read about it a little and then decided that it would be cool to see how all those alternative and hippie-like people live. Oh god, was I wrong. Guys, I have never been so scared in my life, seriously. I held my breath the whole time we were there, I was so freaked out. It happened that Christiania wasn’t the colorful hippie town I thought it would be or was, no no. Christiania is actually the place people go to if they want to buy drugs. In an illegal legal way. That was the first time I have ever seen weed and smelled it (god it stinks so much). And there was this one street where all the people sold their “products” and they were all masked and I was so scared for my life, holy moly. I had such a huge urge to run away (which isn’t allowed there, you’re not allowed to run or take pictures – I still don’t get the running thing). I mean, you know me guys. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don’t do drugs, so you can probably imagine how comfortable the situation was for me. Actually, my mum thought it was pretty interesting, so I guess she’s tougher than me when it comes to such things, but I sure as hell won’t go back there every again in my life (maybe just to show my future kids how scary drugs are).

.

And the last thing I have to mention is the concert – no, I didn’t forget about it. I already told you guys how excited I was to see Coldplay for the first time and how happy I was and still am for my mum that she finally got to see her favorite band of all time. And it was sooooo wonderful, seriously. I loved it, from the first second on to the last note. And yes, I cried. First nearly when they came on stage because I was so happy for my mum and then when they played “Fix You”, which is pretty much one of the saddest and most emotional songs out there. But of course I wasn’t sad, I cried happy tears. And oh my god, the stage was sooooooo damn beautiful. At the beginning we all got some kind of wristbands which automatically lit up in different colors and it was so dreamy. Like watching the sun go down for two hours straight. Oh and they were all so nice, I think Chris thanked us for like 3 to 5 times for spring our Wednesday with them, like it was just another evening for us fans. But I thought it was totally cute that he said that. So overall, it was an amazing experience and I’m so happy that I got to see them because it was their last show in Europe for a long time (their words), which makes it even more special than it already was.

.

So yeah, what a wonderful vacation, trip or concert adventure it was. I loved every single second of if and personally I can’t wait to go back to Copenhagen – it is now in my list of countries/cities I want to live in when I get older. And I really hope that my mum feels the same. Oh and of course I hope that you liked my little big post about Copenhagen and the pics I took (I actually love them, it was so nice to have my camera back in my hands after the exam break). And if any of you have ever been to Copenhagen or any other supercool city and want to chat with me, I’m here. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x

.

Sorry

Hola everyone.

I know what you’re thinking. A few days ago I told you that I had come back to stay and now I can’t even stick to my plan of posting every Monday and Friday. I’m sooooo sorry to let you down guys, seriously. My mum and me are still strolling through the streets of Copenhagen (and having the time of our lives, to be honest) and I just couldn’t find the time to sit down and write something nice for you.

.

And now I’m sitting here at 2 am at night being all sorry about letting you down and being such a lazy ass. Buuuut I promise you I’ll make it up to you, really. And I’m talking about a huuuuge gallery full of pics of Copenhagen, which I absolutely love, by the way, and a really long description of everything I saw and everything that happened. Oh and just to get you photo-lovers excited, Copenhagen is seriously one of the most photogenic cities I’ve ever been to.

.

So, I hope that you’re not too disappointed in me and still looking forward to Monday as much as I am. And until then, I hope you can forgive me and, as always, thanks for reading – and understanding. x

Flower power and taking a break

Hola everyone.

This post is part of super colorful and happy and woopiedoopie but it also contains a little bit of a downside. Okay, first the negative news to get over with it. I’m currently in my last month of this semester at college, which means that I have work to do 24/7. And it’s kind of a bit stressful for me right now and I’m not really sure where I should start first and I noticed that my blog just turns into one more task for me and it’s kind of just too much for me right now. I have the feeling that I really have to 100 % concentrate on my exams and college, so I decided to take a break for a month. And I know, believe me, it breaks my heart, but I just have to focus on college. That means I’ll be back exactly in one month again, hopefully with a great ending of the semester, good grades and a lot of exciting and thrilling stories and adventures to tell you all about and amazing pictures to share with you. And please believe me, I’m really sorry.

.

Okay, now that we are all sad, let’s lift the mood again, shall we? Last week I kind of walked around in my college city and it was such a beautiful day so I took my camera with me and took some pics. And they turned out totally wonderful, mostly because there are thousands and thousands of roses blooming everywhere right now. I actually felt like in some kind of fairy tale. So, here’s a little bit of fairy tale feeling for you.

.

I hope you enjoyed this post and the pictures and forgive me for taking a break and understand my situation. I already can’t wait to be back online. See you all in one month. Thanks for reading. x

Cinema favorites

Hola everyone.

So, I have this special habit of checking the website of my local cinema, to see if they updated it and added some cool new movies they will be screening.

.

The thing is, sometimes, when I have the time, I go on youtube and literally watch every single new movie trailer that looks interesting to me. So I know every movie before they even appear on the cinema website, which means I wait until they put those movies up that I want to see. Sometimes I’m lucky and they do it. Sometimes I’m not and the movie is too “special” to play in a local cinema, although it literally the biggest cinema in the whole federal state. But whatever.

.

Anywayyyy, as I’m so into movies and trailers and all the crazy amazing movies that are just waiting to be screened this year, I thought why not present you those movies I’m mostly looking forward to. Those movies I literally can’t wait to watch. My favorites of 2016. Enjoy.

.

(I’m sooooo excited for that one)

  • Warcraft – The Beginning

(seriously, I don’t know anything about the game but it looks so cool and full of action)

  • Finding Dory

(it’s a Marvel movie, what else should I say?)

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

(it plays in the fantastic Harry Potter world, which is basically my childhood, so yeah, please hurry up movie)

  • Lights Out

(I think this one will actually be the scariest movie of this year; I mean, everyone was afraid of the dark when they were younger and this movie will bring back that fear all over again)

  • High Rise

(the trailer looks strange, but cool, so I’m really curious to see what it’s about)

  • Hello My Name is Doris

(oh god, this is literally the perfect mother-daughter movie)

  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

(the trailer looks so cool, I just have to watch the movie)

  • The Founder

(Michael Keaton is such an amazing actor and I always wanted to know the story of McDonalds, although I’m not the biggest fan of it, and this movie is all about that)

  • Swiss Army Man

(I love Daniel Radcliffe, so I’ll give this pretty strange looking movie a go; I’m really excited about it)

  • Snowden

(honestly, I don’t know much about this whole Snowden story, but the trailer looks so thrilling that I just need to know more – see more)

  • The Dressmaker

(I just love fashion and this one looks really cool with amazing actors)

  • Pets

(pretty much the funniest animation trailer I’ve ever seen)

  • Café Society

(I love Woody Allen movie, there’s nothing more to say)

  • Touched With Fire

(I watched the trailer yesterday and it looks really interesting and made me curious, so I’d really like to watch that movie)

  • The Lady in the Van

(I just love Maggie Smith and English movies and movies that have a true story imbedded and this movie combines all of that perfectly)

  • Before I Wake

(another really scary looking horror movie with an original story and idea)

  • Kill Your Friends

(that’s one of those movies you watch the trailer of, think “what the hell was that???” and then just HAVE to see the movie)

  • Demolition

(I’m a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhaal and the movie looks interesting too, so I really want to see that one)

  • The Purge 3: Election Year

(the first and second part were freaking amazing, so it’s a must for me)

  • The Meddler

(another perfect mother-daughter movie, seriously)

  • Louder Than Bombs

(one of those drama movies that I really want to watch, although I’m more into horror and action)

.

There you, those are my upcoming favorites of 2016, so I’m REALLY looking forward to these movies. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that most of the movies won’t be played in the local cinema, but I can still look out for the in the city, so we’ll see. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and found some movies you are interested it. If any of you want to talk about movies or anything else, I’m here, and until then, as always, thanks for reading x
