Salzburg – Part Two

Hola everyone.

How are well all doing on this fantastic Friday? I hope so far you’ve had an amazing week and that you’re doing good. As mentioned in my last post about my trip to Salzburg with my mum (click here to check that one out), today is the day I get to share the second stock of photos I took of and in this phenomenal city with you. This time, with my iPhone 6s. The funny thing is, although I have a real, professional camera (Sony Alpha 6000), I sometimes actually prefer the photos I take with my phone. I can’t even tell why. It’s mostly just because of the overall feeling the pictures give me. The vibe. And I think, sometimes, when they’re in a good mood, phone cameras are extremely talented when it comes to capturing moments and emotions. Just the overall feel of a certain part in time. A certain second.

.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that I think that phone cameras are better than professional ones. Not at all. The contrary, actually. But even I don’t always get to take my camera with me all the time and in those moments it’s nice to know that my phone can also work its own magic. Also, it’s another plus for anyone who wants to get started in photography and who can’t afford a good camera just now. This way, even phone cameras are a nice thing to start with. And in the end, it’s all about getting started and working with what you got anyway. And to never stop fighting for your passion and what you want.

.

Which brings me to another thing I want to talk to you about before we get to the pictures. Because today, guys, isn’t just a simple Friday, like any other. It’s not just another Friday the 20th. No. Today is a very special day. A day I’ve been waiting for and dreaming about for over nine years. Today is the day I am finally, truly, officially moving to the greatest city on earth. Today, guys, I’m moving to London. My London. My love. And on top of that, with my best friend. Even while typing this, I can’t believe it’s really happening. I’ll probably write another post about this whole, completely unbelievable thing that’s happening right now later, but for now, all I can say is that I can’t really say anything. I’m speechless. Unable to truly understand what is going on. That this dream, this ultimate goal I’ve had for some many years, that I’ve tried to reach and work towards for such a long time, is really coming true. I can’t even begin to explain what this means to me. To be able to say that I now live in London is absolutely mind-blowing. My favorite place on earth. My dream. My love.

.

At this point, I have to thank everyone and anyone who helped me on this crazy path, especially my friends and above all my parents, because without them I’d never be where I am right now. I’d never be able to call London my new home. And for this, I’ll be forever grateful. And I really hope that I can, one time, give some of that back. Also, for the sake of loving yourself, I lastly need to thank myself. I truly worked my ass off for this, to reach this place I am in right now and I’m just so damn glad that I fought when it was needed, stayed strong when I thought all was lost and never stopped believing in my dreams even when people made me feel like some crazy person. It was all worth it. So, please, just for the sake of yourself, please please please never stop fighting for what you want and believe in. Never.

.

And with that, I’m going to stop because I’m about to tear up here and we don’t want that. I’ll now let the remaining pictures of the beautiful Salzburg do the rest of the talking and with that, I hope that you enjoy them. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. The next time you’ll read from me, I’ll already be living in London. Complete madness. But the best I could wish for. And until then, I wish you all a lovely weekend and, of course, thanks for reading. London, here I come. x

Salzburg

Hola everyone.

And welcome back to my blog. Sorry for not posting anything last Friday. I was on holiday in Salzburg with my mum and thus didn’t have time to sit down and write something. I hope you didn’t mind too much. And that you all had a great last week and weekend and that you’re Monday is going well. But speaking of Salzburg – I thought as it was such a nice trip and as the city is so beautiful, it would be a great idea to share some of the pics I took with you. I’ll actually have to split it into two posts, one for the pictures I took with my camera and a second one for the ones I took with my phone. And yes, I really did take so many.

.

As for now, I’m excited to share with you all the pics I took with my camera – a Sony Alpha 6000 for all you photography nerds. Just for a bit of context – this was my very first time of visiting Salzburg. I can’t even tell why I’ve never managed to visit it, in the 23 years I’m on this planet. Maybe it’s because my family and I usually stick to going on holiday somewhere else than in Austria. Maybe. But as I’m moving to London this Friday (oh my freaking GOD), I thought it would be nice to visit some new places in my own home country. And it was sooooo worth it. God, Salzburg is such a beautiful city. It strongly reminded me of Zürich, with its cute little streets and colorful houses and extravagant vibe. And the view from the surrounding hills – oh wow. In total, we got to spend three days in this amazing city and I’m so glad we got to visit it. It’s really really breathtaking. And totally worth a visit, for all of you who ever thought of that. But I think you can tell by the pictures down below. And speaking of those, I’ll just let them do the talking now.

.

As always, I hope you enjoy them. Please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And, of course, I wish you all a great week and thanks for reading. x

Let’s go on a hike

Hola everyone.

How are you all doing? I hope so far your Monday has been fantastic and that you had a great weekend. I for my part am doing amazing, especially now that the weather has been so nice the past days. I can’t really tell why, but it feels like summer just started a few days ago, although I’ve been at home for over a month now. But I don’t mind, not at all.

.

For today’s post, as I thought it’s Monday and we’re all probably in a chill mood, I’d start this week off with a nice, easy post about the hike I went on with my parents and Molly a few weeks ago, which was so so so nice. You guys know that I’m from the countryside, which is why I’ve always been drawn to the city. Big clouds of people. Busy streets. High buildings, scraping the sky. And new chances and adventures waiting around every corner. At last, that’s kind of also why I want to move to London. Not just because I love the city itself, but also because it’s a really cool city. It’s busy and crazy and beautiful.

.

But even though I may be a “country-girl-gone-city-girl”, I can’t help but completely fall in love with the countryside and the mountains and long hikes and clear skies when I go on trips like this one. And this hike specifically was an absolute dream come true that made me daydream about a life on the countryside, far off any real civilisation, where the only sounds you can hear are the bees buzzing and the cows walking around with their bells. I mean, that’s what I call peaceful. Obviously, I would go crazy after about a week, because I would simply be bored out of my mind, but that’s again just another reason why I love hiking trips like this one. They make me appreciate my country and where I come from. They make me love my home.

.

Thus, I’m so happy that I get to share these pictures I took during the hike with you. As always, I hope you enjoy them just as much as I do and please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And, of course, I wish you all a lovely week and thanks for reading. x

At the seaside

Hola everyone.

How are you all doing today? I hope so far you’ve had an amazing Friday and that you’re looking forward to the weekend. I, for my part, have been enjoying my time at home the past two weeks and am currently mentally preparing myself for Ed’s show next week. My friend and I want to try and get front row, so the plan is to get to the venue as early as possible and basically stay there the whole day, which is something I’ve never done before. But we’ll try our best. We’re coming for you, Ed.

.

Besides that, I’m currently also processing the past months I got to spend in Brighton and London, which is partly what I want to do with this post right here as well. I’ve been going through all the pictures on my phone and I just couldn’t help myself but choose my favourites. And now, obviously, I can’t help but have to share them with you. You guys know how much in love I am with photography and as I haven’t done a photography post in a while now, I thought it was time to change that.

.

Some of you might already know most of the pictures if you’ve been following my blog for a while now, but I’m sure there’ll be a few surprises in there as well. All of them were either taken on my phone or my Sony camera, but I do really love all of them equally. I just love looking at pictures and sharing them with the world so much. Photography is art. Nobody can tell me otherwise.

.

As always, I hope you enjoy the pictures and please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. I’d love to hear what you think. And, of course, I wish you all a nice weekend and thanks for reading. x

By the Shore

Hola everyone.

How are we all doing? I hope you’ve all had a good week so far. On my behalf, I’m currently spending a few nice days with my mum here in Brighton and visiting the Great Escape festival, which I’m honestly so excited about. I can’t believe I’ll really be seeing HalfNoise and The Jungle Giants. Who would have thought that I’d ever be able to experience them live? Certainly not me. Which makes all of this even crazier.

.

But now, let’s jump to today’s topic… as some of you might know, my best friend Leni recently visited me as well, which I was and still am so damn happy about. And it was actually kind of freaky too, thinking that we’ll both move to London together in a few months. Among all the awesome stuff we did during the time she was here, we went on this one special trip to the Brighton Marina, where we went on a little walk next to the sea and the cliffs, which was absolutely stunning. I had never been to such a place before, so obviously I had to take my camera with me to snap a few pictures, which is actually the purpose of this post. Because today, I’d like to share my favourite snaps of that day with you. As always, I hope you enjoy them and please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And until then I wish you all a great weekend and thanks for reading. x

Far From Home

Hola everyone.

Yes. The Marvel fans among you read correctly. The day has come. The day I finally set another part of my Marvel fangirl free. And how I’ve been waiting for this, oh yes. So, today guys, I’d like to discuss with you the one and only Spiderman: Far From Home trailer that not only blew me away but also confused the hell out of me. So many questions, so many possibilities. Let’s go.

.

Okay, so first of all, here’s my little warning to all of you who haven’t seen Infinity War so far (what are you even doing with your life?): this post will contain A HUGE FREAKING MASS OF SPOILERS so please continue reading at your own risk. Also, from this point on, I’m kind of presuming that you’ve all seen the movie and are kind of familiar with all the possible theories for Endgame and how our heroes will fight the dust (ba dum tsss). Mostly because going through all of them would take way too long, an eternity even, so if you aren’t part of the matter, here’s a link to my favorite post-Infinity War video by New Rockstars, that goes through all the possible ideas for Endgame – click me.

.

And now that’s off the table, let’s get to the most important part – the trailer. Here it is, for all of you who haven’t seen it or just want to watch it again, which I would totally understand, I watched it three times in a row:

.

Like I said, the trailer is damn good, let’s make that clear, but also wHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????? Why is nobody sad? Shouldn’t they all be super depressed because half of the population recently vanished due to Thanos’ snap? Or because most of our heroes died? And why is everyone alive? Peter? Fury? And why is Happy happily flirting with Aunt May? Shouldn’t he be super sad because his boss, the man, the legend, the one and only Tony Stark aka Iron Man is either gone or still floating around in space? Which of course will never happen, because Tony is sacred and must be protected at all costs. Also, if they kill him, I’m gonna cry and sue someone. I don’t know who, but I’ll find someone. But besides that, there just has to be something wrong here. Can you smell it, guys? The secrecy and confusion in the air? I can. It’s lingering around like a perfume.

.

Okay, so, Spidey is alive. As we know from Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, the movie is set literally a few minutes after the story of Endgame comes to an end and according to Feige “it was purposefully done like this. Like how the events of Captain America: Civil War impacted Peter as he was dropped off by Tony and expected to go back to continue his sophomore year, how the hell are the events of Infinity War and Endgame going to affect him as he, yes, goes back to his junior year?” But as we can see in the trailer, Peter is just doing fine, actually he’s acting like nothing ever happened. I mean, yes, he refuses to take his original Spidey-suite with him on his trip to Europe, so he can focus more on flirting with MJ (so cute), but that doesn’t mean much, even less when we see that May packs it for him at the end. Which again brings me to another question – where is the Iron-Spider suite? It would’ve certainly replaced the OG suite by now, I’m sure. So, again, what the hell is going on?

.

Since the trailer has been released, I’ve buried my head in YouTube and the mass of breakdown and theory videos for Endgame and Far From Home. And so far, I’ve heard enough different theories to fill a few posts with them, but for me, there are only two real possibilities:

Either the movie is set in another reality, like we’ve already seen in the new Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse movie (which was mind-blowing, by the way), or the Avengers can go back in time in Endgame and make it so that Infinity War never happened, which would then explain why the Iron Spider suite isn’t in the trailer and why everyone is still alive and definitely not completely traumatized.

.

Of course, the second theory would also mean, that by releasing the Spiderman trailer, Marvel and Sony literally spoiled their own biggest cinematic event to date, which is Endgame, obviously. Which kind of annoys the frick out of me. I mean, I knew that there would be another Spidey movie and another Black Panther and another Guardians movie and so on, but still. As much as it hurt, I loved the ending of Infinity War. I loved how dark it had all suddenly become and how you could feel the hopelessness in the room. I loved not knowing who would actually survive and why and how. I loved the suspense. But now it’s just out there, the definite sign that Endgame will have the happiest ending ever and that everyone will survive and hippy-dippy, oh how aren’t we all happy.

.

And I don’t want that. I refuse to except it, to be honest. That’s why I’m currently hoping for the different reality explanation to be a thing. Or that Feige and Pascal simply lied to all our faces and that Far From Home is actually set right before Infinity War, which, honestly, would make the most sense, but oh well. Right now, we’ve got less than 96 days to wait until Endgame finally comes into the cinema and all of our questions will finally be answered. I honestly can’t wait. I’m not even exaggerating, I seriously have a countdown on my phone. Sorry, not sorry. That’s true dedication right there.

.

So yeah, there you go, my fellow Marvel fans and fellow readers. Those are all of my thoughts about the Spiderman: Far From Home trailer and what it could mean for Endgame and our favorite superheroes in a nutshell. As I said, I deeply love the trailer, but my head is literally stuffed with so many questions. And I honestly can’t wait for them to be finally answered. But what about you? Do you agree with my ideas or do you have other theories? Please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts down below, I’d be so happy to read them all. And yeah, I hope you enjoyed this little post and that you’re all doing well. And, as always, I wish you all a nice week and thanks for reading. x
