Home

Hola everyone.

And welcome to back to another week. I hope you’ve all had an amazing, relaxing and/or exciting weekend and that you’re doing good. As most of you, who have been following my blog, will know, I’ve recently been at home for a short break – hence the absence of posts – and have now been back in Brighton since last week. And as I just went through my camera roll of those three wonderful weeks I got to spend at home and loved the pictures I flicked through so much, I thought it would be nice to share those special moments with you guys.

..

Some pictures were taken with my camera, some with my phone. Some were taken during my birthday trip to a local chocolate factory (best day ever), some capture calm moments like lying on the couch with Peaches. Moments that I actually miss the most when I’m here in Brighton. It’s the normality, the ordinary I miss. Eating dinner with my parents. As said, lying on the couch with my baby Peaches. Playing cards with my parents. Going on a walk with Molly. It’s only when you can’t access these moments at any time you want, you start to cherish them the most. Because in the end, they are what matters the most. So, here they are. Moments that matter the most to me and moments that feel like home. I hope you enjoy them.

.

.

As always, I hope you’re all doing good and wish you a great week. Oh, and please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. And, of course, thanks so much for reading. x

Winter Wonderland

Hola everyone.

Snow is finally here. And in contrast to my parents, I was actually really damn happy to wake up to our garden looking like a beautiful location in a christmas fairytale. And as snow has been pretty rare this winter, I just had to grab my camera and take a few shots. And of course I took Peaches with me, who I followed around in the garden. I don’t know whether she enjoyed it as much as I did, but I hope. Anyways, please enjoy these clips of our own little winter wonderland. And, as always, thanks for reading and I wish you all an amazing week. x

Bloom

Hola everyone

The weather is warmer, the sun is shining, shorts are allowed and the world gets a little bit more colorful day bay day – that’s what summer is about. Don’t you love it? Because I certainly do. And I can see that every single day when I’m at home and look outside into our garden.

.

Since the past weeks the garden has been a big project for my parents, especially my mum. We recently got a greenhouse and now that summer is here, literally everything in our garden is blooming. And because I think everything looks so pretty, I thought I’d quickly grab my camera and take some pictures. I hope you like them.

.

Ih and besides that I hope you’re all doing well. And I wish you an amazing weekend. Actually life is quite stressful for me right now, you can probably guess why. Yep, it’s exam season. My favorite season of all (caution: sarcasm). I can’t wait for the 27th, half past 8 in the evening, then everything will be okay again. Hopefully. So, if any of you are in the same position as me, I wish you all the luck for your exams. When can do it guys, I know it. And, as always, thanks for reading. x

Autumn is here

Hola everyone.

Today was one of this beautiful autumn days – the sun was shining the whole day, but it was still cold as hell. And of course I had to make the most of it and went for a little stroll in my garden together with Peaches and my camera, right when the sun was setting. And the day and our garden actually gifted me with one of the nicest settings ever. But I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy. Also check out Peaches. She’s such a model.

Oh and of course, as always, I hope you enjoyed this post and my pictures and thanks for reading. x

Me-time and de-stressing

Hola everyone.

Today I want to talk about something that should be important for everybody and that really means a lot to me, actually. And yes, you guessed it – I’m talking about ways I de-stress and relax and calm myself down. Actually, Zoella again inspired me to do this post. I wanted to write this one for weeks now, but watching her lastest video (link) really pushed me to finally do it. So, here we go.

.

Nowadays, I think it’s honestly really hard to completely switch off and de-stress, mostly because being online and just basically on surrounds and follows us the whole day and, for most of us, night too. I mean, I know, smartphones and tv shows and movies and the social media are all gifts from heaven, but sometimes, especially smartphones, have nothing than a bad impact on us. Personally, I try to not have my phone next to me the whole day, for example I turn it off at night and keep it in another room. I actually can’t sleep if my phone is in the same room when I go to sleep. And sometimes I even have a day off from my phone. I just don’t turn it on at all and I have to say, it really relaxes me a lot. And yes, you seriously have more time for other things if you don’t waste it being online all the time and reading a Facebook feed for the third time.

.

Oh and of course, today, stress is something normal for most of us. There’s always something to do and I think that for some people, it’s really difficult to separate themselves from all the do-do-lists and work and stress, which is also a reason I wanted to write this post. So, let’s get to the most important part, which is my ways of de-stressing and winding down and getting some me-time.

.

  • Taking a bath
    • This is actually one of the most important things for me if I want to relax, because I can literally wash all of the stress of the day off and clean my mind. And also, who doesn’t love soaking a little bit and lying in some nice warm water before going to bed. It really gets you in that chilly and sleepy mood.

.

  • Going for a walk with Molly or going for a short run
    • I think that any physical activity can help you de-stress and clean your mind. I especially love going for a run when I’m angry or when I have the feeling that I’ll explode any time. And getting some fresh air at all just really gets me down.

.

  • Taking some photographs
    • You know how much my camera means to me and since I got it, taking pictures became a really important part of my life and one of my biggest and most important and intense hobbies. And I noticed how walking around with my camera and taking some nice pictures really calms me down, because I fully concentrate one this one thing and everything else just fades away.

.

  • Cuddling with Peaches
    • I think that pets are really important if you want to live a happy life. Especially when it comes to me and Peaches, we really have a special bond and basically stick together all the time. The past week my day started with a huge cuddle session with Peaches and actually there aren’t a lot of things that relax me as much as holding Peaches in ma arms and hearing her purr.

.

  • Cooking or baking something
    • Food. What else gets you relaxed if food doesn’t? I don’t really know how it happened but through time cooking and baking became a really important hobby of mine and I just love it. Taking raw products and turning them into something delicious. I especially love meals that just get you into this cozy and warm mood, like pasta, stew or a nice soup. And eating all that good stuff afterwards is just the most amazing part, let’s be honest.

.

  • Watching a good movie or tv series
    • Movies and tv series just really mean a lot to me, you know that. But I think when I want to forget about my problems or all of the stress, watching a nice movie or a good tv series really gets me down and makes me forget about everything else. Except when I have to really finish college stuff or study for an exam, then watching a movie just makes everything worse. Because I won’t feel any better before I don’t finish it all.

.

  • Reading a book or listening to music
    • I think that especially listening to music and doing nothing while doing that and reading a good book really helps me relax and wind down before going to bed. Both, books and music really do mean a lot to me and help me de-stress is just a really nice bonus.

.

  • Talking to my friends or family
    • To be honest, talking to someone about all the things that stress me out and make me nervous, really helps me a lot. Or even talking to you guys about it really helps me. Because it gets all the stuff off of my mind and that’s just amazing.

.

  • Sleeping
    • Actually, there’s nothing to add to this. Just sleep. That’s pretty much the best way to relax. So please, try to get a good sleep every night, it really helps.

.

So guys, there you go. Those are my ways of relaxing and winding down and getting some me-time. I hope I could help you guys with some of my tips and also, maybe some of you do the same to relax, which is awesome. Oh and if any of you want to talk to me about de-stressing or anything else, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

My babies

Hola everyone.

I just got home from my week at college – I stay in my dorm over the week and come home every weekend – and literally had the best welcome ever by my two babies Molly and Peaches. To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure of what to blog about today, so I asked my mum for help and she suggested telling you guys about our two pets. First I thought it might be a lil bit too corny, but she’s right, because I love them so much and they truly deserve a post that is solely dedicated to them. So, here we go.

.

Molly

Molly is the oldie, when it comes to being part of this family. We got her when she was just a little cut puppy, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. And god, was and is she cute. Usually, chihuahuas are said to be loud and bitter and also a little bit bitchy, but Molly is the complete opposite. She was always a really calm dog and full of love. I can tell you, I fell in love with her the second I saw her.

Today she’s 10 and still the same dog she was when we got her. Still calm, loving and a total cutie. She always freaks out and jumps around happily whenever someone of the family comes home, she even does that with the cat, whereas you’d think they don’t like each other, but they actually do.

I really can’t wait to spend even more years together with Molly, because she was always there for me and listened to me when I needed her and I will never stop loving her like crazy. I would never want to have another dog than her.

.

.

Peaches

Peaches is literally the baby of the family. We got her two years ago, which feel like 10 to be honest, out of a big urge of wanting to have a cat that my mum and me shared. And today I can’t even imagine my life without her, as me and her have a really special connection, I really feel liker her mother when we are together and when she follows me around the house. Every week, my mum tells me that Peaches is always depressed when I’m away and keeps looking for me, so that pretty much confirms our bond.

I don’t even know where to start describing her. Sometimes she’s completely nuts and runs around like an insane chicken and then suddenly she’s all cutiepatootie again and wants to cuddle. Watching her feels like watching a completely crazy movie that is actually really interesting. But besides that, her cutest character trait is that, because we took her with us when she was still very young, she still sucks on her toes (and sometimes my stuffed toy cat) like a baby. And she does that until she falls asleep. It’s extremely cute, I can tell you. To be honest, I don’t think that we could have gotten any cat that fits more perfectly into our family then her. She’s the baby and she will always be.

.

.

So yeah, there they are, my two babies. I could never live without them anymore and I can’t wait to cuddle with them again in a few minutes. If any of you have pets too and want to share some love or pics or anything with me or just wan to talk, I’m here. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x
