A Look Into Croatia #2

Hola everyone.

And welcome to my blog. I hope you’re all doing good and that you had a nice week. Some of you might recognize the title of this post from the one that I uploaded just a few days ago. And you are right, they do share the same title. Which brings me to what today’s post is all about…

.

As with the first one – click here to find out more – I thought it would be a nice idea to share a second patch of pictures that I took during the short holiday trip to Poreč that I went on with my parents during Christmas break. But while the first post included my favourite pictures that I took with my Sony Alpha camera, today’s one will solely consist of the ones that I took on my iPhone. As most of you will know, I am a complete sucker for photography, no matter the camera. Sometimes I prefer the photos I take with my professional camera, sometimes I like the ones I take with my phone just as much. And that’s the special thing about it – there simply are no rules in photography. You can be as creative as you want. And if you don’t have the resources to get a professional camera, that still shouldn’t stop you from pursuing your own photography dream. Just get started, the how isn’t that important.

.

I hope the following pictures will prove that, nowadays, phones can sometimes easily compete with big, super expensive cameras. It might not be very advisable to print them out as a big poster, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are still incredibly beautiful and can be as creative as professional ones. And with that, please enjoy the pictures.

Oh, and before I go, here’s another thing I wanted to share with you all. I recently set up an Instagram account for my photography and I’d honestly be super happy and grateful if you’d give it a look – click here. I haven’t posted a lot yet, as I’m just getting started, but trust me, this account will grow and glow like no other. If you do check it out, thanks so much for all your support. I hope you like it.

.

As always, I’d love to hear what you think, so please don’t hesitate to leave your comments down below. And, of course, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and wish you all a lovely weekend. And thanks for reading. x

New Music Friday

Hola everyone.

And welcome back to the beloved New Music series. I seriously can’t believe that it’s already been so long since I last posted one of these and let me tell you, it’s well overdue. So, let’s dive right into it, shall we? Please enjoy.

.

Twenty One Pilots – Jumpsuit

I know, I know, I just posted a whole damn post about their new comeback and their two new songs (click me), but what did you expect? Of course I had to include Jumpsuit in this list, it’s a freaking banger. I’ve basically been living on this song and it never gets too much. Never. Oh, and just to mention it, guess who actually managed to get a ticket for their show in London next March…? Yes, meeeee. Guys, you seriously have no idea how happy I am right now because of that. I can’t wait to hear Jumpsuit live and experience that. Wow.

.

The Hunna – Give Yourself A Try (The 1975 cover)

Well, you guys know that I love both of these bands with all of my heart, but they really couldn’t be any more different. Still, The Hunna chose to cover the new song by The 1975, which, by the way, I can’t stand at all. I don’t really know how to explain it, I just don’t like it. But then I listened to this version and at first I even forgot that this was a The 1975 original. And now guess who completely fell for the song. There you go. Just get me a different band, turn it into a punky-rock song with a great guitar riff in the background and I’m sold. Props to them, seriously.

.

The 1975 – Love It If We Made It

And speaking of these boys, here they are, releasing a new song just in time for another New Music post. And not to be dramatic, but it’s like they heard all my prayers and then created this. I mean, I feel like I’m back in 2013/2014 and driving home at night while listening to Chocolate and Robbers. This seriously gives me strong old The 1975 vibes and I’m totally here for it.

.

Leyya – Wannabe

Some of you may know this band, some of you may not. But listen, this is a band from Austria, like, my home country, and they’re seriously slaying the game. I mean, I usually don’t even like female voices in songs (it has nothing at all to do with gender, I just prefer deeper voices) – besides Hayley/Paramore of course – but I can’t get enough of this band and their music. I think what fascinates me the most are their sick beats. See, that’s where my love for EDM shows. Anyways, amazing band, amazing song. Go listen to it.

.

Enter Shikari – Live Outside

This isn’t exactly a new song, I know, but it’s pretty new to me and I’m just really in love with it at the moment, so I had to put it on this list, of course. Actually, I got to know this song while working at the Nova Rock festival. I went over to check out the band, as their name seemed familiar to me, and I got there right before the end. And then they played this song and I just enjoyed it so much. And it’s been haunting me forever, so I looked for it and here we are. It really is such a fun song and I really enjoy listening to it and I hope you do too.

.

Panic! At The Disco – One Of The Drunks

Another thing that happened while I was gone on my break – Panic released a new album. I actually had planned to write an entire post about the new album, but I just can’t get myself to be excited enough about it. I mean, it’s great, of course it is. It features Brendon’s voice, it’s far more than just great. But personally I just don’t like it as much as I wish I did. And that’s kinda sad. But of course the album also has its bangers, which this one right here is in its clearest form. The beat of this song is just so captivating and I adore how funky it is. Such a bop.

.

Martin Garrix feat. Khalid – Ocean (Martin Garrix & Cesqeaux Remix)

I’m not going to explain to you why this song is right here, because it simply deserves to be on this list. I mean, I love Marty with all of my heart – who I’ll coincidentally be seeing again next Saturday and I. Can’t. Wait. – and his new song with Khalid is extremely good and has such a cool vibe to it. But this remix right here just got released today and it’s actually the version he’s now playing at his live shows and holy moly, it’s just so damn good. I can already see myself dancing and freaking out to this next week.

.

So yeah, there you go guys. Those are some the songs I’ve been loving the most in the past weeks. They all are breathtakingly good on their own and I just love it so much that I get to share all of this with you and that music makes me feel the way it does. Talk about being a lucky girl.

.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these songs just as much as I do. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your comments and thoughts down below. I’m more than curious to see whether you actually like these songs or not. And, of course, I wish you all an amazing weekend and thanks for reading. x
