My concert list

Hola everyone.

As you know, I’m a fan of lists. And I love writing experiences down and keeping memories, so it will probably not surprise you that I always write it down whenever I go to a concert. So I thought why not dedicate one post to all the artists I’ve already seen live. And yes, I’m not joking, I’ve seen them all. Enjoy.

.

  • Justin Bieber (I cried when I bought the tickets in 2013 and I’m planning on seeing him again this year)
  • Conor Maynard (it included a Meet and Greet and I still can’t get over the fact that I hugged him; I can’t wait to see him again)
  • Olly Murs (2x; actually one of the cutest artists on stage, he just knows how to play with his crowd)
  • Avicii (2x; seriously the biggest parties I’ve ever been to and one of the best DJs out there)
  • Postal Service (saw them at the Barclays Center in New York)
  • Clean Bandit (saw them at the the Jingle Bell Ball in London in 2014)
  • Union J (George Shelley is literally the human version of a cute teddy bear; we wore the same outfit at the concert – Coincidence? I don’t think so…)
  • Take That (I’ve never seen men dance that much while singing)
  • Maroon 5 (saw them at 8 o’clock in the morning in the middle of New York when they were at the Today Show and played a gig there)
  • The Vamps (the highlight of the Jingle Bell Ball; and just to mention, they are breathtakingly amazing live)
  • Jess Glynne (she was part of the Clean Bandit set)
  • Ella Henderson (I didn’t even really know her, but I remember she made me cry with one song)
  • OneRepublic (2x; they totally slayed both times; I love when Ryan wears a hat)
  • The 1975 (they were the support act for Two Door Cinema Club and I remember that I didn’t even like their music back then – funny story, because now I love them)
  • Dog Is Dead (the other support act of Two Door Cinema Club; I think I told the lead singer they were amazing after the show)
  • Ed Sheeran (what should I tell you? I’d do EVERYTHING to re-live it right now and if I had the chance to go to his concert every day for the rest of my life, I would totally do it)
  • Robbie Williams (he had the coolest stage I’ve ever seen in my life and he totally rocked it)
  • Two Door Cinema Club (the reason for my concert addiction – thanks guys)
  • The Script (always dreamed about seeing them live and completed the wish in 2014)
  • Nick Tangorra (the cute support act of Conor)
  • 5 Seconds of Summer (flew to Berlin with my friend just to see them)
  • Saint Raymond (the amazing support act of Ed; I love them ever since)
  • McBusted (I think I knew exactly two songs, but I still loved their show)
  • Hey Violet (the punk support act of 5SOS)
  • One Direction (one of those concerts I will always remember)
  • Ryan Keen (the other support act of Ed)
  • Awolnation (saw them at the Sziget festival last year)
  • Marina and The Diamonds (she’s the queen, literally)
  • Kasabian (the oldies who totally rocked Sziget)
  • Major Lazer (their song “Lean On” is the official Sziget hymn for my mum and me)
  • Kings of Leon (Caleb’s voice is freaking amazing live)
  • Alesso (the one show mum and me actually sneaked in at Sziget; it was totally worth it)
  • Turrentine Jones (an English band which actually follows me on twitter)
  • Kraftklub (didn’t really know them before the gig but loved them even more afterwards)
  • Rudimental (my mum got completely obsessed with their music after we had seen them)
  • Limp Bizkit (totally not my type of music; I literally just saw them to keep my front row place for Martin)
  • Martin Garrix (yep, I survived Limp Bizikt for him and it was soon worth it; he ended Sziget with the best show anyone could ever imagine)
  • R5 (Ross’s dance moves made the show 100 times better)
  • DJ Ryland (the small brother of the R5 family; he did a really great job getting us all excited for R5)
  • Twenty Øne Piløts (I saw them exactly 9 days ago and miss them like crazy; I even fell more in love with their music after I saw them, while I didn’t even think that was possible)

.

I can only imagine what you are all thinking now, and I know, I don’t even believe it myself. My concert addiction started in 2013, so I saw all of these people in the last three years, which literally takes my breath away. I don’t even know how that’s possible, but somehow it is.

.

I’m really really really happy and also lucky that I got all these chances to see them live and I hope that it will continue this way, as concerts are the one thing that I never want to lose in my life.

.

If any of you are the same as me or if you just want to talk to me about concerts, I’m here and more than looking forward to talking to you. Thanks for reading. x

Blurryface tour – Twenty Øne Piløts

Hola everyone.

As you all probably already know, I’m completely addicted to concerts. The last concert I went to was on the 6th of February in Vienna with my mum. And as promised, here is my Twenty Øne Piløts concert experience.

First of all, I need to tell you that I’m still not over the concert and I think I will never be over it, like I’ll never be able to get over the Ed Sheeran concert of 2014. And I would seriously do everything do be able to go back to that evening. To be in the crowd, at 9 pm, waiting for them to come on stage.

It was unbelievably amazing and one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to – and trust me, I’ve been to MANY concerts. The thing is, there aren’t many bands out there, which are as special as Twenty Øne Piløts. Their music is breathtakingly good, even better live, which I thought couldn’t even be possible, and they created such an amazing vibe playing their songs on that stage. The crowd went totally crazy as soon as they got on stage and that didn’t change till the very end when Tyler and Josh let us scream and cheer for them for three minutes straight.

.

Besides that, I loved how they interacted with the crowd. They had some kind of metallic boards which they put directly onto the crowd, with Joshs drum set on it and Josh himself too, of course. The same with Tyler. That means the crowd literally held both of them while they were playing the songs. Incredible, right? And onto that there was this moment when only Josh was playing on his drums and everyone was looking for Tyler, who had apparently left the stage. So we were all looking for him. And suddenly everyone had this shocked face and people started cheering and I noticed that they were facing the back of the arena, so of course I turned around too and there he was. Standing on some kind of metallic tower right behind us all, in the middle of the crowd. It couldn’t believe my eyes, he was like 3 meters away from me. And he just stood on that little platform, with his ski mask on, rapping like a god. Unbelievable.

.

And of course they let us be their choir and sing for and with them. I felt so alive, screaming out the lyrics of some of my favorite songs with hundreds of other people who all admire the same two boys. I don’t even know what to say. I really wish I could relive it all right now.

.

They promised to come again and I really really REALLY hope I won’t have to wait too long to see them again. I can just give you all an advice – whenever you have the chance to see Twenty Øne Piløts live, DO IT. Even if you don’t like their music that much, just go to their concert. Really. You won’t regret it. Trust me. It will be one of the best evenings of your life and a night you will never forget.

.

This time I’m going to end my post the way Tyler and Josh ended the concert:

We are Twenty Øne Piløts. And so are you.

Oldschool music

Hola everyone.

This blog post is again dedicated to music, but this time it’s about special music. About special songs, that we probably all know to well. Either from our childhood, from movies we watched and just from pure life. Yep, it’s time to talk about the most epic old school songs (most of them are probably not even that old, but who cares). And again, here are some of my favorites:

  • Heroes – David Bowie (it always reminds me of the movie “Perks of being a wallflower”)
  • Fire – Kasabian (saw it live last year at the Sziget festival – the crowd went totally crazy)
  • Someday – The Strokes (it just makes me feel so happy and full of life)
  • Mr. Brightside – The Killers (to be honest, who doesn’t like that song?)
  • Wonderwall – Oasis (an anthem right there)
  • Teenage Dirtbag – Wheatus (One Direction totally rocked that cover)
  • Where is my mind – Pixies (it just makes you feel supercool; a song perfect for an dramatic ending scene on a movie)
  • Uprising – Muse (basically the only song by music I actually listen to)
  • This love – Maroon 5 (the moment I first heard the song was the moment I fell in love with band)
  • Always where I need to be – The Kooks (a totally addicting song)
  • What Ever Happened – The Strokes (again a really amazing song by The Strokes)
  • Sweet Diposition – The Temper Trap (that’s literally the perfect song to listen to in the car at night)
  • September – Earth, Wind & Fire (the perfect song to get you into the party mode)
  • I Write Sins Not Tragedies – Panic! At The Disco (that band always ruled; my favorite   line is “Haven’t you people ever heard of closing the goddamn door?”)
  • Dance, Dance – Fall Out Boy (one of the best alternative rock bands out there, ever single song is breathtakingly good)
  • The Funeral – Band of Horses (the first song lines I learned on my guitar; always reminds me of How I met your mother)

Sooo, I guess that’s it. Those are my favorite “old school” songs, although most of them weren’t even produced before 2005, but hey. They kinda gives me that special vintage feeling and brings me back to times when that kind of music played on the radio and I was a lot younger.

Hope you like the list and I would also love to hear about some of your favorites, I’m always open to new music. Thanks for reading. x

My music list

Hola everyone.

As you probably know from my “get to know me” post, I’m highly in love with music. Like, I seriously can’t live without it, I just can’t. I’m even listening to some good old Panic! at the disco right now. I’d say, that proves my point.

And as I made a list of my favourite movies, I thought about doing the same for my favourite bands, singers and so on. So, here you go. My favourite musicians.

    • Fall Out Boy (you really miss A LOT, if you don’t listen to them)
    • Two Door Cinema Club (my first real concert and the reason for my concert addiction)
    • Conor Maynard (my bae… you’ll hear more about him. A LOT more)
    • Saint Raymond (if you don’t know him, what are you waiting for?)
    • Justin Bieber (everyone likes him, don’t even start denying that)
    • One Direction (they’re amazing, they just are)
    • Troye Sivan (the youtuber with the fascinating music)
    • Twenty One Pilots (I just love everything they do… can’t wait to see them live next month)
    • Ed Sheeran (don’t even know what to tell you… his voice is pure heaven and he has more talent than I could ever imagine. His concert is still something I think back to every single day)
    • 5 Seconds of Summer (because who doesn’t want four crazy Aussies in their life?)
    • Martin Garrix (probably the cutest DJ out there. His snapchat is EVERYTHING)
    • The Vamps (one of the reasons why I always say that English guys are the BEST)
    • OneRepublic (the band I have always loved and always will)
    • The 1975 (the little sprinkle of weirdness and alternative music I need in my life)
    • Avicii (his concerts are seriously the best and biggest party ever)
    • Taylor Swift (seriously the only female singer I listen to)
    • Kraftklub (a German rock band I saw at the Sziget festival last year and totally fell in love with)

Okay, I think that’s it. And that’s just such a small percentage of all the artists and bands I listen to, but those are my ultimate favourites.

If any of you share the same taste in music as me or want to know something more about some bands or artists, I’d be happy to talk to you and share my love for music. Thanks for reading. x
