I’m back

Hola everyone.

Helloooooooooo. I’m baaaaack. And this time I’m back to stay (at least I hope so). Oh my god, you can’t imagine how much I missed talking to you guys and just literally writing. It feels like I just got home again and slipped into my coziest blanket on the couch. I’m home. And I feel so relieved.

.

And yes, uni is over. FINALLY. I thought summer break would never come. Do you know how annoying and torturing it is, to scroll through Facebook and other social medias and just see how all the other people on this planet are enjoying their summer holidays and chilling their life and you’re just sitting in your dark room, hammering facts into your head you’ll probably forget two days after the exam. It’s horrible. Seriously. I was so frustrated, that I wanted to burn something down. Relax, I didn’t – or did I…?

.

What about the exams, you ask? To be honest, they were pretty amazing. I mean, I studied a lot, that’s like one of my characteristics. But the thing is, this time the topics were so much more interesting for me. The last semester, I literally just memorized everything so I could just remember it at the test and that was it. It just wasn’t interesting AT ALL. But this time it was different and I think that made a big difference. Anyway, I smashed the exams and am finally free, which feels like pure heaven.

.

There are so many things I want to tell you. All the things that happened and all the things that are going to happen. But I’ll keep most of it for the future (which means the next weeks) and just tell you the most important things.

.

Today I’m meeting up with friend to watch The Conjuring 2, which I know that you know that I’m hyper excited to finally see, I seriously can’t wait. Oh and to chat, because we both had exams the last month and didn’t have much time to talk so we have a lot of stories to tell each other, which is always super amazing.

.

Oh and today in two days I’ll be already walking down the streets of Copenhagen with my mum. And before you freak out, of course I’ll tell you everything about it and you guessed right, my camera will be with me, as always, and I’ll try show you the beauty of Copenhagen when I get back. Oh and we’re going to see Coldplay there and my mum is literally so damn excited for the concert, because she wanted to see the band for years and on Wednesday her dream will finally come true. Which I’m very very very happy for her, because usually I’m the one who’s drawing her to concert and the one who’s nearly fainting when the acts finally enter the stage and this time it’s the exact opposite. I can’t wait to see her get all fangirly and scream out the lyrics. It will be just wonderful. And besides, Coldplay are like a dream live so I can’t wait to see them too.

.

Ummm, I guess that’s it by now. I would have material to go on forever and I wish I could, but I think it’s best to split it up. Oh, just one more thing. As I’m such a good student (hehe), I got myself a gift right afterwards. And you know me, of course it had to be something that has something to do with live music. Actually, I bought festival tickets for a electro music festival and guess what? I’ll see Martin – yes, the Martin Garrix, the most amazing DJ – again. And I’m sooooo excited, I really can’t describe it. What a dream-come-true.

.

So yeah, here’s my update. I really can’t tell you how happy I am to be back again. I just noticed now how much I actually missed it. And you can be sure, I won’t leave for a looooong time (I hope that makes you as happy as me). Oh and if you have any stores or news for me, I’d be superhappy to hear them. And until then, as always, thanks for reading and welcoming me back. x

VIS – the review

Hola everyone.

As promised, here’s a little review of my days at the film festival “Vienna Independent Shorts”.

.

First of all I need to say that I’m a huge fan of art and I also have a certain sense for art and things like that. At least I thought so until I sat down in the cinema and everything I believed in vanished in front of my eyes. To be honest, there were really really good movies, but there were also bad ones.

.

That kind of movies where you sit there and either ask yourself how somebody could call that a movie or art or you just think that you could do that at least ten times better. I even got a headache while watching one (it was kind of just flashing lights for 10 minutes straight).

.

But for real, there were fantastic movies too. Some were funny, some were like reallyyyyyy deep and others were just thrilling and got me to want to see more and more and more. So yeah, there were good and bad ones.

.

Overall the week was a really cool experience I wouldn’t want to miss. The weather was nice, I saw a lot of cool people (there were mostly hipsters and alternative ones, what a surprise) and had a lot of fun with my friends. So yeah, I really enjoyed it.

.

I still hope that I once will be able to visit Cannes or one of the really really big film festivals. Because they just look like you step into a whole different world full of movies, stars and bling bling.

.

If any of you ever got to visit a film festival like me, I’d be really happy to chat, and also, I’m super interested in stories like that. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

VIS – Film Festival

Hola everyone.

I have to say there a lot of exciting things happening right now. One of those things is the film festival I’m attending right now. It’s a festival for short film, animation and music video (VIS) in Vienna.

.

It started a few days ago and will continue until Thursday next week, so there’s a lot more to come and I have to say, I’m really excited. Although, to be honest, I’ve never really gotten in contact with short movies before. As the movie lover I am, I only cried about the usually long ones – the longer, the better, actually. That’s why I’m even more excited about the festival and super happy that I can attend it. I still don’t want to give away everything now, but as you can probably guess already, I took my camera with me and took some nice pics which I’d like to share with you. If any of you would like to know more about the festival, don’t hesitate to hit up. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

.

Ps: I’m sorry for posting so late. Actually I posted this blogpost yesterday, but somehow WordPress thought to do me not-so-good favor and just delete it. Thanks WordPress. Anyway, I’m really sorry.

Cinema favorites

Hola everyone.

So, I have this special habit of checking the website of my local cinema, to see if they updated it and added some cool new movies they will be screening.

.

The thing is, sometimes, when I have the time, I go on youtube and literally watch every single new movie trailer that looks interesting to me. So I know every movie before they even appear on the cinema website, which means I wait until they put those movies up that I want to see. Sometimes I’m lucky and they do it. Sometimes I’m not and the movie is too “special” to play in a local cinema, although it literally the biggest cinema in the whole federal state. But whatever.

.

Anywayyyy, as I’m so into movies and trailers and all the crazy amazing movies that are just waiting to be screened this year, I thought why not present you those movies I’m mostly looking forward to. Those movies I literally can’t wait to watch. My favorites of 2016. Enjoy.

.

  • Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist

(I’m sooooo excited for that one)

  • Warcraft – The Beginning

(seriously, I don’t know anything about the game but it looks so cool and full of action)

  • Finding Dory

(I loved Finding Nemo, so I think I’ll love this one too)

  • Suicide Squad

(I never watched Batman or movies that superhero universe, but I think I’ll like this one, it looks amazing)

  • Alice Through the Looking Glass

(the first part was amazing and I think this one will be even better)

  • Doctor Strange

(it’s a Marvel movie, what else should I say?)

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

(it plays in the fantastic Harry Potter world, which is basically my childhood, so yeah, please hurry up movie)

  • Lights Out

(I think this one will actually be the scariest movie of this year; I mean, everyone was afraid of the dark when they were younger and this movie will bring back that fear all over again)

  • High Rise

(the trailer looks strange, but cool, so I’m really curious to see what it’s about)

  • Hello My Name is Doris

(oh god, this is literally the perfect mother-daughter movie)

  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

(the trailer looks so cool, I just have to watch the movie)

  • The Founder

(Michael Keaton is such an amazing actor and I always wanted to know the story of McDonalds, although I’m not the biggest fan of it, and this movie is all about that)

  • Swiss Army Man

(I love Daniel Radcliffe, so I’ll give this pretty strange looking movie a go; I’m really excited about it)

  • Snowden

(honestly, I don’t know much about this whole Snowden story, but the trailer looks so thrilling that I just need to know more – see more)

  • The Dressmaker

(I just love fashion and this one looks really cool with amazing actors)

  • Pets

(pretty much the funniest animation trailer I’ve ever seen)

  • Café Society

(I love Woody Allen movie, there’s nothing more to say)

  • Touched With Fire

(I watched the trailer yesterday and it looks really interesting and made me curious, so I’d really like to watch that movie)

  • The Lady in the Van

(I just love Maggie Smith and English movies and movies that have a true story imbedded and this movie combines all of that perfectly)

  • Before I Wake

(another really scary looking horror movie with an original story and idea)

  • Kill Your Friends

(that’s one of those movies you watch the trailer of, think “what the hell was that???” and then just HAVE to see the movie)

  • Demolition

(I’m a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhaal and the movie looks interesting too, so I really want to see that one)

  • The Purge 3: Election Year

(the first and second part were freaking amazing, so it’s a must for me)

  • The Meddler

(another perfect mother-daughter movie, seriously)

  • Louder Than Bombs

(one of those drama movies that I really want to watch, although I’m more into horror and action)

.

There you, those are my upcoming favorites of 2016, so I’m REALLY looking forward to these movies. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that most of the movies won’t be played in the local cinema, but I can still look out for the in the city, so we’ll see. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and found some movies you are interested it. If any of you want to talk about movies or anything else, I’m here, and until then, as always, thanks for reading x

#TeamIronMan

Hola everyone.

The wait is over. FINALLY. I hope some of you guys already know what I’m talking about looking at the title of this post, but I will tell you all anyway.

.

The new Captain America movie has finally been released and as the HUGE Marvel fan I am, I already went out to see it as soon as I could. And oh my god, let me tell you, that movie is literally so damn amazing, that I have no words.

.

First of all, I think I should explain my love for Marvel. It all started with Iron Man, that’s why I am and always will be Team Iron Man, forever and always. So, he is literally the reason I got into this whole Marvel Cinematic Universe thing and got pretty much obsessed with it. Completely. I have literally seen every single movie since Iron Man came out (except Ant-Man, but I will see that one in two weeks, so don’t judge). And I just fell in love with the movies more and more and more and more. I couldn’t get enough and I can’t either now. I think I never will.

.

Anyway, that’s the reason I was looking forward to seeing Captain America: Civil War since I got out of the cinema after watching The Avengers 2. And I can tell you, that’s a looooong time for a Marvel fangirl like me. So I just waited. And time passed and the release day came. And I went crazy. Completely.

.

I think I have never been THAT excited for a movie before. It was like I was waiting for a concert to start. I just wanted to get into that seat and start the movie. I think I also felt like this because of the story:

Soooo, the movie starts right after the incidents of The Avengers 2, with the whole Sokovia and Ultron thing. You can probably tell that a lot of people were killed or hurt in that battle and the government can’t let that happen another time. They want to monitor and in some way control our beloved heroes. And that’s when the team breaks apart. On the one side we have Captain America with his supporters, who state that they can’t just look away when something bad happens until the government allows them to do something about it. On the other side we have my fave Iron Man with his team, who understand what the government wants and also want to prevent any actions by the Avengers that could hurt any more people. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they can find a way to get together, so the epic battle begins and noone really knows who is going to win.

.

Seriously, how cool is that? When I first saw the trailer, I was speechless (oh, here’s the link if you haven’t seen it: youtube.com). Mostly because I was so scared for Tony. I don’t know what I would do if something happens to him. And of course, because of all of the new characters. Black Panther? Ant-Man? SPIDERMAN????? Epiiiiiiic (I know, I’m overly fangirling right now).

.

So, you can see why I was so excited. But let’s get to the most important part – the movie, of course. IT WAS BREATHTAKING. Like, it’s just a huge emotional rollercoaster. At one moment you seriously can’t handle all the epicness, at another one you feel tears streaming down your face, but then something funny happens and you just have to laugh and then it gets serious again and oh my god, it’s just so exciting and thrilling and amazing. Apart from all the amazing and exciting and supercool action sequences, there’s also a really emotional and totally unexpected story hidden that just makes the movie even better, but I won’t spoil anything, of course. But seriously, if any of you get the slightest chance to watch this movie, please do it, for your own sake. You won’t regret it, I swear (unless you don’t like superheroes or epic movies or haven’t seen any of the movies before, because then you will literally have no idea of what is going on).

.

I seriously can’t wait for all the other movies Marvel has planned and now that phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has started with this huge epic movie, I’m more than excited for what’s to come. If any of you are as much in love with Marvel as me, I would literally love to talk to you. And please, let me know which team you are – Team Cap or Team Iron Man? I’m really curious. And until then, I can just tell you to please go and watch that movie and hope that you enjoyed this post and getting to know my crazy nerdy fangirl side. And as always, thanks for reading. x    #TeamIronMan

.

Ps: I just bought this little Funko Pop Iron Man figure and I just can’t handle its cuteness. Look how cute. I can’t wait to receive it and put in on my desk.

My horror show

Hola everyone.

I know, I don’t need to talk about my obsession with movies anymore, but I just need to mention that there’s one special genre that I’m in love with. One which people wouldn’t probably think that I like and love when they see or get to know me. And I’m not talking about Marvel or action thriller… noooooo… I’m talking about horror. Pure, thrilling, horrifying, super scary horror. Especially the psychological, demonic ones. I’m totally obsessed with those.

.

So, in order to celebrate my love and obsession for good horror movies, whereas I try to watch every good one out there, I thought why not make a list of my favorite movies for those of you who are as much in love with horror as I am. Enjoy.

.

  • The Conjuring (my number one and scariest movie I have ever watched; seriously, I never wanted to leave the cinema that badly and I can’t wait for the second part in a few months)
  • The Woman In Black (Daniel Radcliffe is amazing and I’ve never been so horrified at the end of a movie; although it’s scary as hell it’s a total must)
  • The Strangers (I watched it at the beginning of my horror movie obsession and I was scared for my life, I couldn’t even look out of the window)
  • The Insidious series (seriously one of the best horror series out there, a total must and personally I think the first and the third part were the best ones)
  • The Sinister series (what should I even tell you? It’s scary as hell and I just wanted to hide in my sweater through the whole two movies; every horror fan should still watch it though)
  • The Cabin In The Woods (a really different horror movie and I love it; the elevator part is my favorite although I was a little bit sick afterwards; oh and not to forget it’s the only movie where just the title appearing at the beginning made me jump)
  • The Purge series (for me, one of the most creative and innovative but also slightly crazy horror concepts out there; I often think what would happen when there was for real a day where all kinds of crime would be legal… personally, I don’t even want to know; anyway, an must for horror fans and exciting for me, as there’s another part coming up)
  • Deliver Us From Devil (another exorcist movie with a thrilling story and a dark atmosphere and I really loved watching that one)
  • Crimson Peak (another pretty different horror movie with a kind of magical love story in the middle of a scary house and ghosts wandering around; another total must from my point of view)
  • Gallows (I remember sitting in the cinema with my friend completely alone and watching most if the movie through my fingers in front of my face, so yeah; still awesome though and a total adrenaline boost)
  • Nightmare On Elm Street (one of the first horror movies I watched and loved it from the first second on, especially the huge plot at the end)
  • The Ward (I totally love horror movies which have a complex story and a plot and this one is the perfect example for such movies; although it’s super scary, I can only recommend it and I just watched it again two days ago)
  • Oculus (while watching that movie, neither me or my parents exactly knew what was going on, this movie literally plays with your mind, but that’s probably what makes this movie that good)
  • The Hills Have Eyes (usually I don’t watch movies that are bloody and just plainly gross, but I remember my parents watching it and telling me to go and do something else because this wasn’t a movie for me and a few years later I watched it myself and was kind of fascinated, don’t ask why; it’s an amazing horror movie but still brutal and gross as hell)
  • From Hell (one of my all time favorites, as the story is completely thrilling and Johnny Depp is in it, so it can’t be anything other than amazing)

.

Okaaay, I think that’s it… and yeah I know, it’s long, but I think that shows how many horror movies I watch (is that even healthy anymore? no idea…). Another thing I just noticed – horror movies have the best posters ever, they all look so cool. Never realized that. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my list and if any of you are as obsessed with horror as me and want to talk, I’m here. And as always, thanks for reading. x
