My special friend

Hola everyone.

I’m baaaaack. And as promised, today I’d like to tell you a really special story about a really special friend of mine. You know, today, it’s possible to have friends all around the world. And lucky me, I have my own. Her name is Mati.

.

I met Mati three years ago, she was actually the one who started something that should become a close and special and amazing friendship. Actually, it was the Belieber connection that brought us together. Because she texted me about the JB concert over on Twitter, which we surprisingly both had visited. She asked me if I had taken some pics and would like to exchange some. We started chatting, soon exchanged phone numbers and here we are, three years later, still going strong and texting everyday (thanks to WhatsApp).

.

I often thought how could it would be to have a friend in another country. Because it seemed so extraordinary and special to me. And now I have Mati. The first time we met in person was one year after our first chat and it was seriously one of the best moments in my life. To finally see her live, be able to hug her, talk to her and show her my hometown and introduce her to my friends and my family. And I have to say, it was was just wonderful.

.

Since then she visited me another time and as you guys know, last weekend I visited her in Croatia for the first time. I was sooooo excited and it was so freaking awesome. I felt like I was on a holiday trip, for real. Mostly because everyone was so chilled and nice and they all welcomed me so nicely. And I mean, it’s for sure not normal. I felt like I was one of her family members and I’m so thankful for that.

Honestly, I can’t describe how happy I am that I have Mati in my life and I really hope that we’ll be one of the cool grannies who chat all the time and laugh about stupid things when we’re old and grey. I think that it’s amazing how social networks bring us all closer together. Sometimes people think that it’s weird when I tell them about having a friend in another country, but I don’t care at all, to be honest. And I’m pretty sure that most of you guys have already met a lot of people on the internet, so yey to having friends all over the world.

.

So, there you go. This is my special story about a special friendship. If any of you guys want to talk about friendships or anything else, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post, and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Oh and here are some pics I took on my trip with Mati. Enjoy.

.

Short break

Hola everyone.

I know I’m quite late, but I just wanted to inform you guys that I’m currently sitting in a bus on my way to my friend in Croatia. I’m visiting her over the weekend and I seriously can’t wait to see her again. You’re probably a lil bit confused now, but as soon as I get home, I’ll tell you all about her and our story. I promise.
Which also brings me to my apology for not posting anything until next friday. I hope you understand.
And until then, I wish you all a fantaaaastic weekend and, as always, thanks for reading and “see” you in week. x

Kill Your Darlings – movie review

Hola everyone.

Today I’d like to present you another movie I recently watched. And trust me, you’re going to love it just as much as me.

.

The movie is called Kill Your Darlings and I’d say that it’s a really really special one. It’s about the famous poet Allen Ginsberg and his time in college. The story follows his path through college, while he’s meeting new people and making friends. This is also when he meets Lucien Carr, who shows him the crazy side of life and poetry and together they plan to change the world and break the rules to make it better. But then something really bad happens and everything seems to break apart. Allen is the one who could either solve everything or make it even worse.

.

Exciting, right? I especially liked the way how the movie works. It’s really artsy and full of aesthetic and poetry an philosophy and dreams, with special people who do all the things others are too afraid for. And also the actors are amazing – Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg and Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr. And I have to say that Dane is really really crushworhty, for real. And it’s crazy that he’s already 30, while still looking all young and hot. And they both are breathtaking and perfect for their roles. And lets say, they work better together than I first thought.

.

I also loved how the story is based on true events, on a true human being. And the quotes, oh my god the quotes. There is one that I can say has become one of my most favorite quotes ever:

Allen Ginsberg: Some things, once you’ve loved them, become yours forever./And if you try to let them go… They only circle back and return to you. They become part of who you are…

Lucien Carr: …or they destroy you.

.

How beautiful is that? It makes me want to fall in love and write a sad book about sad love at the same time. So intense and fascinating.

.

Overall, I really really really enjoyed watching this ,movie and I’m happy that movies like that exist, because they are really special and those you’ll probably never forget. So I can just highly recommend it to all of you guys. Oh, and if you’re interested, here’s the trailer. If any of you want to talk about the movie or anything else, I’m here. And until then, enjoy the movie and I hope you enjoyed this post. Oh, and as always, thanks for reading. x

Music of the month

Hola everyone.

I know it’s early for a music of the month list, but hey, there can never be enough lists about music, right? I have to say that my current taste in music and my favorite songs are especially influenced by all the new upcoming albums of some of my favorite bands. And of course they all thought “why not release some singles first and basically bless all the ears on this planet???”. Thanks guys.

.

Anyways, all this songs are freaking amazing and I love them and some have a special meaning to me and some are just a blessing. But all of them are perfect. Enjoy.

.

  • OneRepublic – Kids (such an amazing song, perfect to sing to – link: youtube.com)
  • Kings Of Leon – Waste A Moment (I couldn’t be any more excited for their new album – link: youtube.com)
  • Conor Maynard – Close (another cover, but it’s freaking breathtaking – link: youtube.com)

  • Twenty One Pilots – Heathens (that doesn’t really surprise anyone, right? – link: youtube.com)
  • Panic! At The Disco – Death Of A Bachelor (this song and Brendon’s voice are a blessing – link: youtube.com)

  • Basically any Fall Out Boy song, for real
  • Foals – My Number (this is my official Reading hymn, so I can’t listen to it, but I still have it in my head and I love it and it just makes you want to DANCE – link: youtube.com)
  • The 1975 – Somebody Else (when I think about their set at Reading, I think about this one immediately – link: youtube.com)
  • Two Door Cinema Club – Sleep Alone (god, I love this song so much, it is such a tune live – and on CD too, ofc – link: youtube.com)

  • Martin Garrix ft. Bebe Rexha – In The Name Of Love (I actually listened to it again for the first time today after hearing it live two months ago, still getting all emotional and happy, god I wish I could see Martin every week – link: youtube.com)

.

Soooo, here you go. Here are my current favorite songs and yes, I’m in love with every single one of them. If any of you have the same taste in music as me, feel free to chat with me, for real. I’d love to talk. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and list and, as always, thanks for reading. x

My favorite TV shows

Hola everyone.

As many of you probably know by now, I loved watching TV. But not in that “I have no idea what I’m watching, I’m just watching Tv so I’m doing anything” – type. I embrace the tv shows and movies I watch. I try to get into the story, sympathize with the characters and step into another world for some time. And also, now that I still have one month left until uni starts again, I have a lot of time to do and watch whatever I want. And i thought, why not talk about some of my favorites tv shows of the past years? Let’s go.

.

  • Gossip Girl
    • I have to say, just in this year, I have watched this show three times already. That’s how much I love this show – I’ve already talked about that in another post too. I just enjoyed the story and the characters. At first I didn’t really like it that much, but it got better and better. And I think this is one of those shows you just have to see. It’s a must. Also, I love Blair.

.

  • How I Met Your Mother
    • This one of the shows I started with – my TV show obsession. I always watched it after school when I got home and I got so into the story, I just couldn’t stop. And Ted and his friends were just too cool. And then the show got better and better and story got deeper and deeper and I had to cry more and more. And seriously, the last three episodes killed me. I cried so much. Please go and watch this show. It’s funny and emotional. And just perfect. You won’t regret it.

.

  • Scrubs
    • Another perfect example for a perfect tv show. God, how did I love watching this. I laughed from the first second on. And I wished to be friends with all of them. Oh and I even once met Zach Braff in London, which just tops it all. I juts love how they put super funny and crazy characters together with an at the end really serious and good story. Well done guys. Another must, for real.

.

  • Downton Abbey
    • I started watching this with my mum in February and currently we have two episodes left and then it’s over. And god, that was a rough trip, seriously. And I loved every second of it. This is my portion of Englishness every now and then and I couldn’t live without it anymore. Also, it’s crazy to see how the nobility and the servants lived together.

.

  • New Girl
    • I have always loved this show with all of my heart. And it made me so jealous. Because Jess lives together with most crazy and funny people ever. Oh god, what would I do to live in that apartment. It’s so much fun watching them, how funny must it be to live in such an apartment. I’m really glad that this show exists, it brought a lot of laughter and happiness into my life.

.

  • American Horror Story
    • This is like a horror movie, just that it’s a super creepy and sometimes really really really disgusting and gory tv show. For real, sometimes my parents walk past the tv while I’m watching it and ask me what the hell I’m watching while somebody is being eaten alive on the screen. But actually, the show is amazing. I love how the stories are always different from season to season. And how the actors stay the same. And I couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming sixth season.

.

  • Cougar Town
    • I just started watching this show about three weeks ago – but I knew it before already – and I looooove it. My mum does too. Mainly because Jules and her son are exactly like my mum and me. Just that the crazy friends in our kitchen are missing. It’s so stupid and funny and crazy and watching it makes me so freaking happy, seriously. If any of you get the chance to watch this, I highly recommend it. Really.

.

So, there you go. These are pretty much my favorite TV shows of all time. And I still watch all of them until today. And I couldn’t enjoy all of them more. I really love them all. And I’m happy that they exist, because they bring a lot of happiness into my life. And they can turn a bad day into a good one. If any of you are into tv shows as much as me, I’d love to talk to you. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post, and as always, thanks for reading. x

Reading festival -the summary

Hola everyone.

I know, this is already a little bit getting out of hand, but I just can’t shut up about the festival. Actually, I also didn’t quite know what to post today. This week is kinda weird, with 3 posts already this week and still Friday being the day for me to tell you guys a little story. So, I thought why not summarize the past three posts? Let’s go.

.

Honestly, I think that Reading is a really special festival. It’s different to others that I know, because the music is the most important part of the weekend. It doesn’t have cute decorations or people doing dance shows or activities to do between the gigs. It’s all about the music and the fun. And I love that. And besides that, it’s also quite old and full of history. My mum and I especially noticed that when we saw people her age walking around and families. We never walked past a whole family at Sziget last year. So that was really cool to experience. It kind of breaks the cliche that festivals are only for young people. Which is so damn wrong, just saying. My mum is the best example.

.

Also, I was really surprised by its dimensions. I knew that it was sold out completely, but I didn’t think that it would be this big with so many people. I was overwhelmed. And still am. And you could really see that everybody was enjoying their time there. Pure happiness all around, no worries, no problems, just music and fun and love. Just perfect.

.

Finally I have to praise their choice of bands. The lineup was really breathtaking, seriously. I never thought that somebody would ever do that and create the perfect lineup. But they did. And I got to experience this amazing lineup live. And I got to finally see Fall Out Boy, which is like so damn unreal still. God, I’m so happy.

.

Guys, if any of you ever get the chance to attend this festival, please go and do that. You won’t regret it, I swear. And I can actually say that this time wasn’t my last. I can already see myself attending it again. And I think this isn’t even this crazy to say. So yeah, see you again Reading festival.

.

So yeah guys, there you go. That was my weekend at Reading festival. Three days I’ll never ever forget. If any of you love music and festivals as much as me, don’t be shy and hit m up. I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x
