Milan haul

Hola everyone.

As you all know I’ve just been in the shopping city in Italy, in Milan. And of course I went shopping (duh). So as I was thinking about my post for today, I thought why not integrate some fashion and shopping aspects in my blog and post some pictures of all the things I bought in Milan. Here we go.

.

Clothing

I went to Milan hoping to find a new spring jacket, thinking about those new light trench coats that are trending right now. And to my luck, I found the perfect jacket. It’s a dark red-orange jacket from Bershka and I love it soon much, although it’s not a trench coat. I especially love the color, because it brings some life into my wardrobe, as I’m mostly wearing dark colors.

.

My mum and me also went to Brandy Melville, one of the coolest stores at the moment. And of course I found something. I got a grey alien t-shirt, that is, I think, almost typical for the brand, and a black light dress which is perfect for summer. I think one of the best aspect of the brand are the materials they use for their clothing. It’s so damn comfy.

.

.

Accessories

Actually, I’m not sure what my relationship to accessories is. I love them and I buy them, but I only wear like 2 or 3 and those are always the same ones. But I still love them. I love wearing necklaces, bracelets, rings and so on. And looking at them. Feeling beautiful wearing them. It brings some kind of magic touch to every outfit. And of course I looked out for some cute little things in Milan and found them at the seriously last minute. They all have some kind of hippie-boho aspect to them, so they are perfect for summer and the festival season. Oh and if you’re interested, I got them at Pull and Bear, which is another amazing store I always enjoy going shopping to.

.

.

This and that

As I knew that Milan is such an important fashion metropolis and as I felt it as soon as I stepped out of the door, I thought of buying something that screams fashion. As we walked past a bookstore, I saw a Vogue book in the window and asked my mum for a little shopping spree in the store. The staff members told me that the store had it’s own department for fashion and I was starstruck. I rushed there immediately and quickly found the place with every fashion magazine you can think of. First I thought about buying the Vogue, but then I saw a cute little grey book with pink letters on it and I knew that this one was the book I had been looking for. It’s a little fashion dictionary by Christian Dior, so it describes every characteristic of fashion. But I think even looking at it makes you happy, it’s just too cute.

.

The other thing I bought is a journal wrapped in a fabric cover with a boho pattern. I saw it at the end of a Pull and Bear store next to the checkout and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for cute and unique journals, although I  look at them more than I use them. But I know that they all once will be full of my writing and until then I enjoy looking at them as much as I can.

.

The last things I got – and always a must for me – are two little postcards, one from Milan, the other one from New York City. Whenever I visit a new city or country, I always buy a postcard with the name of the country on it for my wall in my room. So the wall is like a place where I pin all of my memories onto and it makes me very happy to look at it everyday and remember all the experiences I’ve made and all the places and people I’ve seen in my life.

.

.

So, there it is. My haul in Milan. And as you probably see on the pictures, my cat enjoyed taking the pictures and enjoying all of the new things too. She’s such a cutie. Oh and if any of you want to talk about shopping or anything else, I would be happy to talk to you. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

My horror show

Hola everyone.

I know, I don’t need to talk about my obsession with movies anymore, but I just need to mention that there’s one special genre that I’m in love with. One which people wouldn’t probably think that I like and love when they see or get to know me. And I’m not talking about Marvel or action thriller… noooooo… I’m talking about horror. Pure, thrilling, horrifying, super scary horror. Especially the psychological, demonic ones. I’m totally obsessed with those.

.

So, in order to celebrate my love and obsession for good horror movies, whereas I try to watch every good one out there, I thought why not make a list of my favorite movies for those of you who are as much in love with horror as I am. Enjoy.

.

  • The Conjuring (my number one and scariest movie I have ever watched; seriously, I never wanted to leave the cinema that badly and I can’t wait for the second part in a few months)
  • The Woman In Black (Daniel Radcliffe is amazing and I’ve never been so horrified at the end of a movie; although it’s scary as hell it’s a total must)
  • The Strangers (I watched it at the beginning of my horror movie obsession and I was scared for my life, I couldn’t even look out of the window)
  • The Insidious series (seriously one of the best horror series out there, a total must and personally I think the first and the third part were the best ones)
  • The Sinister series (what should I even tell you? It’s scary as hell and I just wanted to hide in my sweater through the whole two movies; every horror fan should still watch it though)
  • The Cabin In The Woods (a really different horror movie and I love it; the elevator part is my favorite although I was a little bit sick afterwards; oh and not to forget it’s the only movie where just the title appearing at the beginning made me jump)
  • The Purge series (for me, one of the most creative and innovative but also slightly crazy horror concepts out there; I often think what would happen when there was for real a day where all kinds of crime would be legal… personally, I don’t even want to know; anyway, an must for horror fans and exciting for me, as there’s another part coming up)
  • Deliver Us From Devil (another exorcist movie with a thrilling story and a dark atmosphere and I really loved watching that one)
  • Crimson Peak (another pretty different horror movie with a kind of magical love story in the middle of a scary house and ghosts wandering around; another total must from my point of view)
  • Gallows (I remember sitting in the cinema with my friend completely alone and watching most if the movie through my fingers in front of my face, so yeah; still awesome though and a total adrenaline boost)
  • Nightmare On Elm Street (one of the first horror movies I watched and loved it from the first second on, especially the huge plot at the end)
  • The Ward (I totally love horror movies which have a complex story and a plot and this one is the perfect example for such movies; although it’s super scary, I can only recommend it and I just watched it again two days ago)
  • Oculus (while watching that movie, neither me or my parents exactly knew what was going on, this movie literally plays with your mind, but that’s probably what makes this movie that good)
  • The Hills Have Eyes (usually I don’t watch movies that are bloody and just plainly gross, but I remember my parents watching it and telling me to go and do something else because this wasn’t a movie for me and a few years later I watched it myself and was kind of fascinated, don’t ask why; it’s an amazing horror movie but still brutal and gross as hell)
  • From Hell (one of my all time favorites, as the story is completely thrilling and Johnny Depp is in it, so it can’t be anything other than amazing)

.

Okaaay, I think that’s it… and yeah I know, it’s long, but I think that shows how many horror movies I watch (is that even healthy anymore? no idea…). Another thing I just noticed – horror movies have the best posters ever, they all look so cool. Never realized that. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my list and if any of you are as obsessed with horror as me and want to talk, I’m here. And as always, thanks for reading. x

Milan

Hola everyone.

As you probably know from my birthday post my parents and me were in Milan for the past days and god, it was amazing. Seriously.

.

First of all you need to know that I’m completely obsessed with fashion. I love reading fashion and lifestyle magazines, look for the newest trends on the internet and always check out my favorite shops for some new styles. And Milan is THE fashion metropolis of Italy. And also one of the most important fashion metropolis of the world and that’s something you notice the moment you step out of the door, for real. I’ve never been to a city where both men and women are that well dressed and care that much about their looks, never. It’s crazy. I was both shocked and completely in love from the first second on.

.

There are hundreds of fashion shops around every corner, so there’s really never a way to get away from fashion. The kiosks are full of fashion magazines and have “VOGUE” printed on their tops and let’s not forget that the book shops have an extra department just for fashion. I felt like I just stepped into my dream fashion land.

.

Oh and onto that, my birthday was amazing too. We went shopping, spent some time in a beautiful park in the sun, I had my first ice-cream of this year and of course we had an amazing Italian dinner (Italian food is the best, seriously). It was really a dream day. And  I’m pretty sure my parents enjoyed it as much as I did.

.

And of course I took pictures. A lot, to be exact. So, here you go, enjoy. And as ways, thanks for reading and I any of you want to talk, I’m here. x
