Berlin update #2

Hola everyone.

As you probably all know – or some of you – I’m currently living in the beautiful city named Berlin. And I thought I’d give you a little update on how life is going and has changed since the last update.

.
So, it has been two weeks of living here and I have to say, compared to a week ago, life here has really changed, but in a very good way, thank god. First of all, I think I finally got more used to being here. I mean, I still can’t realize that I am in Berlin, but hey, at least I am now comfortable in the city.

.
Also, the reason I’m better is probably because of the Panic! concert. It really brought me a lot of happiness and inspiration, enough to be as happy as I can for the whole week and maybe even the next one too. And of course I got to know the city more. Google is my best friend at the moment. I strolled through the city all week, looking where all my favorite shopd are, where my washing salon is located, how I can get from A to B and so on. And that really helped.

.
Oh and on the last part, my friend Lisa and her boyfriend visited me for four days and that just made everything so much better. I was so happy to see them, talk to them, go out and habe dinnee together and so on. It felt really good to actually see someone from home again. Those days were really amazing. Oh and speaking from home, I’m planning on flying home at the beginning of december and that is making me so freaking happy. I’m already looking forward to doing nothing but cuddle with my two babies and see my family again.

.
Besides that, I’m really glad that I have internet here, the aspect that I’m talking to my friends and family every single day from day to night makes me feel less alone and just really happy. Oh and me and mum are calling eachother every single day, that’s our strict rule and we stick to that.

.
So yeah, that’s my life currently here. So far, every single day here has been an adventure and something new for me. Which is really exciting. Overall, I can say that I’m happy that I decided to do this, although I miss home like crazy. But that’s the price I have to pay.

.
If any of you want to talk to me about my life here, don’t hestitate to hit me up. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Berlin Update #1

Hola everyone.

Sooo, I basically just wanted to update you guys on how I’m doing in Berlin. It’s been five days so far and I can already say that I have made a lot of experiences.

.
First of all I have to say that I really really REALLY love Berlin. It’s a really cool, really modern and chill city and I feel honored to live here for those three months. And I love the apartment I get to stay in for the three months, really. And with my good decoration skills I already turned this flat into a home – my home.

.
Apart from my happiness of being here, I’m also sad about being away from home. It’s the first time I won’t be home on a weekend or will see my parents next week. And that is quite scary. And heartbreakingly sad of course. I had to say goodbye to my parents yesterday, which was really hard. And I mean, of course I miss them. Everyone. More than anyone can imagine. But I’m extremely happy that they stayed here in Berlin for this long, so the actual moving and adjusting to the new city thing was a lot less complicated and scary for me. And I could still spend some time with them, which was even more awesome.

.
So, I’m slowly getting used to being here and on my own. But I still haven’t been able to realize it all, so yeah, I’ll just wait for that to sink in.

.
The good thing is that my friends will be visiting me here in Berlin, so I won’t be alone as much as I thought. And apart from that I have wifi and everything here so I can call and text my family and friends whenever I want and that makes everything a lot easier for me. And being here really shows me how much I love being at home, the place I belong to, spending time with the people and pets who I love the most. But it also shows that I am able to go on such a big adventure on my own and be drawn away from everything I know.

Overall, being here in Berlin has already tought me a lot about myself and what I want to do in the future and how. And although I’m away from home, I can’t describe how happy I am that I seriously get to do all of this, it’s soooo damn crazy, for real. A dream come true. So I’m hoping that it will get better and better and better and once be a part of my life I’ll look back to with a smile on my face.

And that’s all I can tell you guys. So, as you can see, I’m doing quite well here in Berlin. Oh and I’m sorry for not posting anything on Friday, I just had a packed week and didn’t get the chance to write. I’m really sorry. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and if any of you want to chat, I’m here. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x

Hello Berlin

Hola everyone.

It’s happening guys. It’s really happening. And I can’t believe it. I’m seriously moving to Berlin for three months. Holy moly.

.
I’m seriously having real troubles realizing that this is really happening. I mean, I know some of you guys already know about this if you’ve been following my blog. But I talked about wayyyyy long time ago. And now I’m boarding a plane in 13 hours. It’s currently half past 1 am and I’m sitting on the couch watching YouTube videos and trying to understand all of this crazy stuff.

.
To be honest, I have both good and bad feelings about this. But I guess that’s normal, I bet on it. I mean, there aren’t a lot of things I’ve ever been this excited for. And this is such a big dream of mine and it’s coming true, which is more than crazy. I’ve been dreaming about and hoping that I could once get the chance to move to a cool city for some time. And I always knew that I wanted to do this. I always wanted to go on such a huge adventure. And now it’s happening. Which makes me so happy that I can’t even describe it. I’m so damn excited.

.
But on the other side I’m also so freaking nervous. Like, moving to another city, in another country, on my own, completely alone, without having anyone I really know there… It’s more than crazy. And that makes me nervous. Because I’ve never really been alone in my life until now. There was always somebody there. And now I’m on my own. And besides that, leaving my family and my friends and my two pets aka babys is like the hardest thing ever. Especially leaving Peaches behind. Because I can keep in touch with my friends and family, I can talk to them, skype with them and they understand my situation. But how do I tell a cat that her mum isn’t going to be around until christmas? It’s impossible. I mean, I noticed that she can sense that there’s something going on, but who knows what she thinks. I’m just hoping that she won’t be too sad…

.
So, those are my worries. I’m not scared of being alone, I can easily get used to that. It’s just the newness and everything unknown that’s making me nervous. But I’m 100 percent sure that it’s going to be one of the coolest months in my whole life. Seriously. And I’m so freaking excited to work at the TV company. It’s going to be so awesome. And interesting. I’m already so happy to be able to learn all these new things and see how working there is. It’s going to be so cool. I’m sure.

.
I seriously can’t wait to learn all this new stuff and start this new chapter and meet new people and make all this new and exciting experiences. And of course I’ll keep in touch with my friends and family as much as I can. Skype and text and stuff. And they will also visit me in Berlin, which is supercool and already makes me happy. And me and mum are going to a Twenty One Pilots concert in Berlin, so my time already starts in the best way possible.

.

And of course I’ll keep all of you guys updated. Because you can probably all guess by now that my life in Berlin is going to be the main topic for the next three months. So yeah, that’s really happening and I’m just waiting for my brain to realize it. But still, the excitement is overwhelming. Oh and Happy Halloween guys. If any of you want to talk about this or anything else, I’m here. And now even happier to hear from you guys. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and life update and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Huge haul

Hola everyone.

The day has finally come. I know I promised to post this already weeks ago but somehow I never got the time to finally do it, but know I did. Hallelujah.

.

So as you know I was in England for a week with my mum in August – Brighton and Reading – and then I visited my friend Mati in Croatia. And of course I had to go shopping, how couldn’t I? The shopping list started with some clothing pieces and went on and on until it ended with books and some special accessories. So I would like to show my precious purchases to all of you guys. Enjoy.

.

Clothes

Okay, actually it’s more like just tops, precisely one t-shirt – the most important piece of the whole haul – and four sweaters. But hey, autumn has already arrived and winter is coming and I have to be prepared.

.

Right now I’m completely obsessed with the sweaters they sell at Pull and Bear. They are just so comfy and big. The perfect size for being a nice oversize sweater I want to stay in forever. And it fits perfectly and looks just perfect. And besides that they all have some cool embroidered messages on them which make them even more amazing. The first one I bought was in Brighton. I just had to. Mostly because of it’s writing that says “Nobody cares if you don’t go to the party”, which is just so damn relatable and true. I’ve always been that one person that doesn’t go to parties, even though all the others did and called me boring. Because I simply didn’t care t all. That’s why the sweater is a perfect match for me. It emphasizes my lifestyle and the person I am.

.

The second one I bought was in Zagreb. It’s exactly the same one as the first one, just in a green color and with the Harry Potter related writing saying “I’m busy making a potion”. And let’s be honest, everything that’s Harry Potter related is just pure awesomeness. On the same day I also bought my really special rainbow sweater. I j´saw that one at Pull and Bear and just wanted it to be mine. Not just because it looks freaking amazing, but also because it’s my way of telling the world that I support the LGBT+ community. Most people will just look at me wearing it and see a cool rainbow sweater, but for me it’s my kind of support. And I love that.

.

The last sweater I bought is some kind of flattery poof black crop top volant type of thing. I bought it at Zara in Reading. Actually I just wanted to try it on and see how it looks but then I stayed it in the whole time when my mum was trying on other things. And that pretty much meant that I would keep it. That’s my thing. If I try something on and keep it on until I have to leave the changing rooms, it’s practically mine. There’s no other way out. And that was the case with this top.

.

And now the most important piece. My precious. You know that I love Fall Out Boy. And I finally got to see them live at Reading festival. And you know that I love band merch. I always buy one t-shirt whenever I’m attending a concert. And you probably guessed it by now –  of course I had to buy a FOB t-shirt. And it’s seriously one of the most valuable pieces of clothing in my whole wardrobe. Because it has such a huge meaning for me. And besides that it just looks freaking cool. I mean, look it at. They band is cool, the shirt is cool, everything about this is unbelievably cool and amazing and perfect. And I love it. With all of my heart.

.

.

Other stuff

Now that we all know that clothes are not the real thing on their own, of course I had to buy some other stuff. The first thing on my list were books. I’ve been obsessed with reading good books lately, so I flew over to England with my list of books I wanted to buy and thankfully I did get all of them.

.

I bought:

  • This Modern Love by Will Darbyshire
  • When We Collided by Emery Lord
  • Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
  • The Potion Diaries by Amy Alward
  • Harry Potter And The Cursed Child by J. K. Rowling

.

I read the Harry Potter one right after we bought it, I just had to. And by the way, it’s amazing. And currently I’m reading When We Collided which is also really really awesome. I can highly recommend it. And all the others too, of course.

.

Besides that we also bought some other things. When mum and me were strolling around in town in Brighton we walked past a painting pottery cafe which I recognized from one of Marzias blogs (Pewdiepies girlfriend). So of course we had to walk in and the next day we went back to actually paint some pottery. I chose to paint a heart, write Brighton on it and paint some flowers and other stuff on it so it would look nice. And I have to say I really enjoyed it, I loved it to be honest. It was so relaxing and it reminded me of how much I love art and painting. And on the last day which was also the next one I got my finished heart back, which was supercool and so nice of them because I told them that we would leave on this day so they finished it extra fast for me. The heart is now hanging on my wall and I look at it and it places a smile of my face every time.

.

And when we were at Reading festival I also bought some badges for my bags and other things. That’s like another one of my traditions, I started it when we attended Sziget festival last year. And now even my mum has a badge on her bag. Our stuff is like a display for all the experiences we’ve made. Oh and we also bought three sings, one for mums office, one for our whole family and one for my room. Going shopping in Brighton is really amazing and fascinating, because there are so many vintage shops and little shops that sell stuff you’d never get in conventional stores. And I really love that.

.

.

So, there you go. Those are the things I bought in the past two months, some in the UK, some in Croatia. But all of them are amazing and totally lovely. If any of you want to chat about shopping or anything else, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoy this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Autumn is here

Hola everyone.

Today was one of this beautiful autumn days – the sun was shining the whole day, but it was still cold as hell. And of course I had to make the most of it and went for a little stroll in my garden together with Peaches and my camera, right when the sun was setting. And the day and our garden actually gifted me with one of the nicest settings ever. But I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy. Also check out Peaches. She’s such a model.

.

Oh and of course, as always, I hope you enjoyed this post and my pictures and thanks for reading. x

Me-time and de-stressing

Hola everyone.

Today I want to talk about something that should be important for everybody and that really means a lot to me, actually. And yes, you guessed it – I’m talking about ways I de-stress and relax and calm myself down. Actually, Zoella again inspired me to do this post. I wanted to write this one for weeks now, but watching her lastest video (link) really pushed me to finally do it. So, here we go.

.

Nowadays, I think it’s honestly really hard to completely switch off and de-stress, mostly because being online and just basically on surrounds and follows us the whole day and, for most of us, night too. I mean, I know, smartphones and tv shows and movies and the social media are all gifts from heaven, but sometimes, especially smartphones, have nothing than a bad impact on us. Personally, I try to not have my phone next to me the whole day, for example I turn it off at night and keep it in another room. I actually can’t sleep if my phone is in the same room when I go to sleep. And sometimes I even have a day off from my phone. I just don’t turn it on at all and I have to say, it really relaxes me a lot. And yes, you seriously have more time for other things if you don’t waste it being online all the time and reading a Facebook feed for the third time.

.

Oh and of course, today, stress is something normal for most of us. There’s always something to do and I think that for some people, it’s really difficult to separate themselves from all the do-do-lists and work and stress, which is also a reason I wanted to write this post. So, let’s get to the most important part, which is my ways of de-stressing and winding down and getting some me-time.

.

  • Taking a bath
    • This is actually one of the most important things for me if I want to relax, because I can literally wash all of the stress of the day off and clean my mind. And also, who doesn’t love soaking a little bit and lying in some nice warm water before going to bed. It really gets you in that chilly and sleepy mood.

.

  • Going for a walk with Molly or going for a short run
    • I think that any physical activity can help you de-stress and clean your mind. I especially love going for a run when I’m angry or when I have the feeling that I’ll explode any time. And getting some fresh air at all just really gets me down.

.

  • Taking some photographs
    • You know how much my camera means to me and since I got it, taking pictures became a really important part of my life and one of my biggest and most important and intense hobbies. And I noticed how walking around with my camera and taking some nice pictures really calms me down, because I fully concentrate one this one thing and everything else just fades away.

.

  • Cuddling with Peaches
    • I think that pets are really important if you want to live a happy life. Especially when it comes to me and Peaches, we really have a special bond and basically stick together all the time. The past week my day started with a huge cuddle session with Peaches and actually there aren’t a lot of things that relax me as much as holding Peaches in ma arms and hearing her purr.

.

  • Cooking or baking something
    • Food. What else gets you relaxed if food doesn’t? I don’t really know how it happened but through time cooking and baking became a really important hobby of mine and I just love it. Taking raw products and turning them into something delicious. I especially love meals that just get you into this cozy and warm mood, like pasta, stew or a nice soup. And eating all that good stuff afterwards is just the most amazing part, let’s be honest.

.

  • Watching a good movie or tv series
    • Movies and tv series just really mean a lot to me, you know that. But I think when I want to forget about my problems or all of the stress, watching a nice movie or a good tv series really gets me down and makes me forget about everything else. Except when I have to really finish college stuff or study for an exam, then watching a movie just makes everything worse. Because I won’t feel any better before I don’t finish it all.

.

  • Reading a book or listening to music
    • I think that especially listening to music and doing nothing while doing that and reading a good book really helps me relax and wind down before going to bed. Both, books and music really do mean a lot to me and help me de-stress is just a really nice bonus.

.

  • Talking to my friends or family
    • To be honest, talking to someone about all the things that stress me out and make me nervous, really helps me a lot. Or even talking to you guys about it really helps me. Because it gets all the stuff off of my mind and that’s just amazing.

.

  • Sleeping
    • Actually, there’s nothing to add to this. Just sleep. That’s pretty much the best way to relax. So please, try to get a good sleep every night, it really helps.

.

So guys, there you go. Those are my ways of relaxing and winding down and getting some me-time. I hope I could help you guys with some of my tips and also, maybe some of you do the same to relax, which is awesome. Oh and if any of you want to talk to me about de-stressing or anything else, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x
