Budapest

Hola everyone.

Can you believe that it’s already a new week again? I can’t. The move to Brighton is getting closer and closer and next Saturday seems to be approaching much faster than I had anticipated. More and more people keep asking me how I’m feeling, whether I’m a bit scared or nervous. But honestly, I can’t really describe the state I’m in right now. I’m nervous and a bit anxious sometimes and of course sad, especially when I’m lying on the couch with my whole family and feeling their presence, fully knowing that I’ll be missing this exact feeling. But I’m also really happy and excited for this new chapter in my life. Seriously. I already have so many things planned and just the thought of seriously living the one part of my life I’ve always dreamed about makes my stomach fill up with butterflies. I think if you can feel ready for such a huge thing, then that’s what I’m feeling.

.

It’s currently a bit after one o’clock am on a Monday night and I’m sitting on our couch at home, Thor Ragnarok glimmering in front of me. You know, you can’t really go wrong with this movie and it makes me laugh, so. But that’s not what I want to talk to you guys about. I don’t want to talk about my love for Marvel or my move to Brighton. Today I’d like to talk to you guys about my trip to Budapest or even rather share my favorite pictures with you. To be honest, the cities beauty and coolness really did surprise me. I loved the whole look of the city and especially the crazy amount of historical buildings. I mean, have you seen the parliament? It’s freaking beautiful. And besides that I also loved the modernity when it comes to food and fashion. The whole city is packed with vintage stores and vegan restaurants and shops. It was just so so cool. And I think that also shows in the pictures. I hope you enjoy them just as much as I enjoyed taking them. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your comments and questions down below and I wish you all a great week. And, of course, thanks for reading. x

Black Mountains, White Skies

Hola everyone.

Can you believe it’s already Monday again? Because I can’t. It’s seriously more than crazy how the time is just zooming by. Just wait. I’ll blink once and then it will be September and I’ll be on my flight to Brighton. Holy moly. But let’s not freak out just yet and focus on the here and now, shall we? So, how are you guys? I hope you’re all having a great start of the week. And I hope what’s coming next maybe makes it even better.

.

So, a few weeks ago my parents and I drove to Salzburg for my cousins wedding. First I have to say that the wedding was so damn beautiful that it’s hard for me to find any words. But what gave the whole ceremony that one special cherry on top was the location. We celebrated in the middle of a valley, surrounded by the phenomenal mountains and the breathtaking nature. I loved it so so so much. And as I of course had taken my camera with me, I took my chance and went hiking for a bit to take some pictures. And oh wow, was that cool. I tried to really capture the vibes that I got, the slightly icy, cool feeling I had and the imposing greatness of the mountains. And I actually wanted to try something different to my otherwise very colorful, vibrant style. So yeah, without further ado, I present you my selection of the best pics I took during the wedding-weekend. What I probably like the most about them is that the actual intensity of the surrounding mountains can be seen on the pics, especially with the ones where both my parents and Molly are walking at the bottom of the photos with the big mountains right behind them. Like, honestly, I really like the pics. And I even more hope that you do too.  As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts down below and I wish you a great week. And, of course, thanks for reading. x

Once Upon A Time…

Hola everyone.

As promised in my last post (click me), I’ve got quite a pack of topics and things I want to talk to you guys about and tell you. And today I have the very special honour of presenting you the pictures of a very special photoshoot I recently did.

.

So, first of all, here’s a little background info. So a few weeks ago I was scrolling through Asos, looking for a nice dress to wear to my cousin’s weeding. Just to mention, that’s pretty much one of the biggest reasons why I love weddings so much – I get to buy and wear dresses I would never be able to otherwise. And then I found this totally dreamy, baby-blue, fairy-like dress and I just had to get it. Of course I fell completely head over heels in love with it the second I put it on. The color is so damn beautiful, just like the lace details and pretty much everything else. It’s just so so divine.

.

And here comes the super sad part of my story – cue the sad music. As perfect as this dress was and still is, the only thing that stopped me from buying it and living in it for the rest of my life was the prize. I mean, I would’ve probably spent the about 140 €, if I had the confidence that I would be able to wear it another couple of times. But spending so much money just to wear it for one night seemed a bit too much for me – even if it nearly broke my heart to send it back.

.

But if you guys know me, you know that I always try to make the best of every situation, so I decided to grab my camera and have a little photoshoot with the dress. I of course looked after and guarded it like the ball of my eye, so that someone after me would get to enjoy the dress even more. And I have to say, it was actually one of the nicest and coolest photoshoots I’ve ever done. Like I said, I did it all by myself and just used my tripod to get the right angles. And it worked out so perfectly. God, I’m so love with the pictures, no joke. I felt like a princess wearing this dress and even better when I got to see the outcome. Oh and before I present you the best pics, here’s the link to the dress if you fall in love with it, just like I did – click me.

.

And yeah, that’s the story of how I changed into a princess for a short amount of time to have this little photoshoot that I now get to show you. I hope you enjoy the pictures just as much as I do. I actually tried to change it up a bit, play with colours and concepts and so on. So, this right here works as what I would see as a mood board. Please enjoy.

.

.

As always guys, thank you so much for reading and I hope you’re all doing good and I wish you an amazing start of this new week. x

Through the lens

Hola everyone.

Happy Monday to you all. I hope you’re doing good and that this new week started off in a good way. And if it didn’t, maybe this little post can bring some joy to this day. To be honest, the past few days have been a bit weird – at least when it comes to the weather. It has been raining pretty much every day and the funny thing is, if it doesn’t rain, the sun is literally trying to burn us all to death. I feel like I’m in England, with this crazy weather (HA, I wish).

.

So, yesterday, in one these super hot gaps between total rain showers, I had to just take the chance and grabbed my camera to explore our now really summery garden once more. And this time it was quite the experience. Thankfully it didn’t start to rain right after I stuck my toe out of the door. But I did try to change it all up a bit. I played with the different light settings and angles, crawled around the ground to get the perfect perspective and almost crashed into a small field full of daisies just to get as close as possible. And I really have to say, I had so much fun doing that (not the crashing part, of course). I loved playing with the extremes, the colors, the lights, the zoom, literally everything. That’s exactly why I love photography so much.

.

And without further do, I now have the honor to present you the outcome of my little session. I really hope you enjoy the pics and I am already looking forward to hearing your reviews, so please don’t hesitate to leave your comments down below. And yeah, until then I wish you all a great week and, as always, thanks for reading. x

Taking pictures with my camera

Hola everyone.

So, as some of you may have noticed, on my last post I focused on the photographic ability of my iPhone. I went out and about and took pictures with my phone and as I already mentioned in that post, I was seriously pleasantly surprised. They turned out far better than I had imagined. Actually, the looked pretty amazing. Here’s the post if you want to check it out – click me.

.

And in addition to that post, I thought I’d now make a post to directly compare those pictures with ones I’ve taken with my professional camera. I again went out into my garden and took some shots of the nature around me. As you can see down below, unfortunately I couldn’t always take the same pictures as the ones I took with my phone, mostly because everything had already changed so much and other plants and flowers had started to bloom. And as you can probably guess, it would have also been pretty boring to just take the same pictures over and over again. Bye bye artistic creativity, am I right? But I of course also tried to take some similar shots of the same flowers, so we can directly compare them.

.

As you can see at the pictures, the main difference between the pictures I took with my iPhone and the one I took with my Sony Alpha 6000 camera is the sharpness of the pics. You can clearly see everything in the pics, even the smallest petals and their structures. But personally, I don’t even mind that my phone isn’t able to take pictures with such a high definition, because then I wouldn’t need my camera, which I would never give away. I love it too much and I want a reason to use it. Apart from that I think that all over, the vibes of the photo series are completely different. The iPhone ones look chilled, they’re more blurry. They’re basically pics you see on Instagram. And with my camera they just look professional, which they also are, of course. They just seem like someone put more effort into making them. I don’t know, that’s just my perception.

.

But what do you think? Which pictures do you enjoy more? I’m really curious to hear your thoughts and opinions, so please don’t hesitate to leave them down below. And until then I hope you enjoy these pictures and that you’re doing good. And, as always, I wish you a nice weekend and thanks for reading. x

Taking pictures with my iPhone

Hola everyone.

I’m not quite sure whether I’m saying this too early or not, but it really seems like Summer is literally just around the corner. Which means the weather gets warmer, people start crawling out of their dark caves into the light and the nature all around us is finally coming back to life. And that actually has to be my most favorite part of Spring/early Summer season – all these different pops of color in the landscape.

.

That also means I’ve spent the past few weeks walking around in Vienna and at home, admiring all this beauty of the nature. Which also gave me a good reason to start photographing  again. But this time I thought I’d give the whole photography part a new twist and take the pictures with my iPhone camera instead of my professional one. You guys know that I usually use my Sony Alpha 6000 to take my pictures, but I thought I’d give the phone a chance to prove itself. And holy moly, I wasn’t let down.

.

Just so you guys know, I took all of these pictures with my iPhone 6S. And I don’t even know what to say, because these pictures are bloody amazing. Before this phone, I owned a Samsung Galaxy S5 (I think) and I never really enjoyed taking pictures with it, but the iPhone totally changed my mind. I love these pictures so so much. I mean, of course they aren’t as good as the pictures I take with my Sony, but holy moly, for a phone these look absolutely fantastic. So, props to the makers, really.

.

I actually wanted to make this post to show you guys that sometimes a phone can really be a good choice and substitute if you want to take nice pictures but don’t have a professional camera. I’m seriously so happy with how these pictures turned out and I hope you enjoy them too. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts and comments down below. Oh and I hope you’re doing well and wish you an awesome weekend. And, of course, thanks for reading. x
