My picnic party

Hola everyone.

As you all know, I’m a reallyyyyy huge youtube-fangirl and I watch a lot of different youtubers. One of those youtubers is the so well-known Zoe Sugg aka Zoella. A week ago or something like that she posted a stunning video of a picnic party she threw for and with her friends and I was fascinated from the first second on. I wanted to be able to throw such a fabulous party too, I just needed a reason.

.

And last week I got it. This is actually the biggest news EVER, so get excited. A few months ago I applied for an internship at a super famous media and TV company in Berlin. And last week they actually sent me an email that said that I got accepted. Which meaaaans that I’m actually moving to Berlin in November. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. I know, it’s faaaaar to crazy, I still haven’t realized it. I’m not even able to just imagine it, it’s just so overwhelming. So yeah, actually fulfilling that huuuuuge dream of mine and move to another city for a few months was quite a good reason so throw a little party for me and my best friend.

.

I have to say, it was awesome. The weather was perfect, I tried to decorate our garden (not as nice as Zoella, but oh well), made some punch, brought snacks and prepared a noodle salad. And then we just sat outside in the sun, enjoying ourselves and the world. It was perfect. And even Molly joined us. I’m really happy that I got to do it. And I can just tell you that if any of you ever get the chance to do a picnic, DO IT. Seriously. It’s so cool and nice and relaxing to sit in the sun, chat with your friends and just enjoy life. And you don’t even need much – a blanket, a nice spot in a field, park or garden, some snacks and drinks and of course your friends. And that’s everything you need to have a evening you’ll remember for a loooong time. If any of you want to know more about my picnic or want recipes for the punch or the salad, just hit me up. And until then I hope you enjoyed this post and the pics down below and of course, as always, thanks for reading. x

VIS – Film Festival

Hola everyone.

I have to say there a lot of exciting things happening right now. One of those things is the film festival I’m attending right now. It’s a festival for short film, animation and music video (VIS) in Vienna.

.

It started a few days ago and will continue until Thursday next week, so there’s a lot more to come and I have to say, I’m really excited. Although, to be honest, I’ve never really gotten in contact with short movies before. As the movie lover I am, I only cried about the usually long ones – the longer, the better, actually. That’s why I’m even more excited about the festival and super happy that I can attend it. I still don’t want to give away everything now, but as you can probably guess already, I took my camera with me and took some nice pics which I’d like to share with you. If any of you would like to know more about the festival, don’t hesitate to hit up. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x

.

Ps: I’m sorry for posting so late. Actually I posted this blogpost yesterday, but somehow WordPress thought to do me not-so-good favor and just delete it. Thanks WordPress. Anyway, I’m really sorry.

Generation … what exactly?

Hola everyone.

Today is a special day because today I’ll talk about a serious topic. The topic that is called generation, this generation to be exactly. my generation. Those people who are teens right now, exploring the world and themselves.

.

I’m sure it happens to every generation that the older generations talk about them, but I feel like there’s a general bad feeling coming up when people talk about the people of this generation. We are those teens without motivation. We only care about superficial things. We dream too much (how’s that even possible?). And we don’t respect the older generations and other, mostly older people like we should.

.

I know what you’re thinking right now. Is this a joke? But it’s certainly not, unfortunately. And while I’m of the opinion that this couldn’t be any more false, I want to explore my generation for myself, because nobody knows who and how we are better than someone form that exact generation.

.

First of all, we have motivation. Okay, not THAT much motivation, but it depends about the goals and things we are talking about here. If I have to write a five page essay about the ways a company does its accounting, I will for sure not be motivated, at least not as motivated as other people might except me to be. But if I have to write a five pages essay about fashion and trends in order to get it printed in a magazine, I will be so motivated that I’ll finish the essay in an hour. So it really depends. We are motivated. A lot, really. Because we dream. We dream a lot. About our wishes, goals and the future. We just don’t want to earn money by doing a job that we actually hate. The fun and the love for the job is just more important than the money and people need to understand that.

.

A few decades ago it was important to earn money, because it was needed. But today fun and happiness and motivation and passion are becoming more and more important. I know, there are a lot of also young people out there who need money more than just badly, but I’m talking about those people who can actually chose where to work and what to do with their future.

.

I think there’s a reason why being a blogger or a youtuber are full-time jobs. People just found a way to turn their hobby into their job and I think that’s more than amazing. Because they will never be unhappy with it, at least I hope so. Today we have so many more choices to make, ways to choose, decisions to take and possibilities that are available. That wouldn’t have been possible in the earlier years. But it is today.

.

And of course we don’t only care about superficial things, actually they are becoming less important every second. Family, friends, achieving dreams and goals, having a good education, happiness, love and being happy with the person we are and we have become, those are things that really matter. Like REALLY. I know, we like to wear nice clothes, have a good smartphone and live in a nice place, but at the end of the day, those things don’t matter as much as other people would think.

.

And yes, we respect the older generations. Because we know that they have experienced far more than we have. And because they are those people who hand us over the responsibility for the planet when the time has come. Yes, there mistakes have been made, but I’m sure we can all turn this around and onto the way to a positive end.

.

Actually, I like the situation how it is right now, because my generation and for example the generation of my parents slowly become one, also through the social media and all of that. Of course, it’s annoying when your parents won’t listen to you because they are far more interested in their Facebook feed they have already seen about 10 times now, but it’s still some kind of come-together. And I like that.

.

My generation isn’t a bad one. We aren’t perfect, that’s for sure. But we are young and we already know a lot. We (mostly) know what we want, we dream, we think in a positive way and we fight for a better world. A lot of things are changing right now, people’s views are getting broader, the hearts are becoming more and more open. We are the ones who will rule the world in a few years and try to care for it as good as we can. And I think we can do it, I really do.

I hope you enjoyed this post, really. It’s an important topic for me, so I’d really like to know your opinion on this one. So don’t hesitate to talk to me. And until then, as always, thanks for reading. x

Cinema favorites

Hola everyone.

So, I have this special habit of checking the website of my local cinema, to see if they updated it and added some cool new movies they will be screening.

.

The thing is, sometimes, when I have the time, I go on youtube and literally watch every single new movie trailer that looks interesting to me. So I know every movie before they even appear on the cinema website, which means I wait until they put those movies up that I want to see. Sometimes I’m lucky and they do it. Sometimes I’m not and the movie is too “special” to play in a local cinema, although it literally the biggest cinema in the whole federal state. But whatever.

.

Anywayyyy, as I’m so into movies and trailers and all the crazy amazing movies that are just waiting to be screened this year, I thought why not present you those movies I’m mostly looking forward to. Those movies I literally can’t wait to watch. My favorites of 2016. Enjoy.

.

  • Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist

(I’m sooooo excited for that one)

  • Warcraft – The Beginning

(seriously, I don’t know anything about the game but it looks so cool and full of action)

  • Finding Dory

(I loved Finding Nemo, so I think I’ll love this one too)

  • Suicide Squad

(I never watched Batman or movies that superhero universe, but I think I’ll like this one, it looks amazing)

  • Alice Through the Looking Glass

(the first part was amazing and I think this one will be even better)

  • Doctor Strange

(it’s a Marvel movie, what else should I say?)

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

(it plays in the fantastic Harry Potter world, which is basically my childhood, so yeah, please hurry up movie)

  • Lights Out

(I think this one will actually be the scariest movie of this year; I mean, everyone was afraid of the dark when they were younger and this movie will bring back that fear all over again)

  • High Rise

(the trailer looks strange, but cool, so I’m really curious to see what it’s about)

  • Hello My Name is Doris

(oh god, this is literally the perfect mother-daughter movie)

  • Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

(the trailer looks so cool, I just have to watch the movie)

  • The Founder

(Michael Keaton is such an amazing actor and I always wanted to know the story of McDonalds, although I’m not the biggest fan of it, and this movie is all about that)

  • Swiss Army Man

(I love Daniel Radcliffe, so I’ll give this pretty strange looking movie a go; I’m really excited about it)

  • Snowden

(honestly, I don’t know much about this whole Snowden story, but the trailer looks so thrilling that I just need to know more – see more)

  • The Dressmaker

(I just love fashion and this one looks really cool with amazing actors)

  • Pets

(pretty much the funniest animation trailer I’ve ever seen)

  • Café Society

(I love Woody Allen movie, there’s nothing more to say)

  • Touched With Fire

(I watched the trailer yesterday and it looks really interesting and made me curious, so I’d really like to watch that movie)

  • The Lady in the Van

(I just love Maggie Smith and English movies and movies that have a true story imbedded and this movie combines all of that perfectly)

  • Before I Wake

(another really scary looking horror movie with an original story and idea)

  • Kill Your Friends

(that’s one of those movies you watch the trailer of, think “what the hell was that???” and then just HAVE to see the movie)

  • Demolition

(I’m a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhaal and the movie looks interesting too, so I really want to see that one)

  • The Purge 3: Election Year

(the first and second part were freaking amazing, so it’s a must for me)

  • The Meddler

(another perfect mother-daughter movie, seriously)

  • Louder Than Bombs

(one of those drama movies that I really want to watch, although I’m more into horror and action)

.

There you, those are my upcoming favorites of 2016, so I’m REALLY looking forward to these movies. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that most of the movies won’t be played in the local cinema, but I can still look out for the in the city, so we’ll see. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and found some movies you are interested it. If any of you want to talk about movies or anything else, I’m here, and until then, as always, thanks for reading x

The best job EVER

Hola everyone.

I’m a college student. That means I have to pay for books, food and the adventures students go on (coffee and cinema). Of course my parents give me money if I need it, but to be honest, it’s still a good feeling to earn at least a little bit of cash yourself. So as soon as I started uni, I looked out for a cool job. And I found it.

.

I literally found the best job ever, which is so perfect for me, that I can’t even describe it. I know I know, I should finally tell you what my job is and not just talk around it. So, I got a job at the concert venue in my university city and also the most important concert venue in the whole country. You probably know by now that I’m completely obsessed with going to concerts. And this job combines it perfectly. Live music and money AND of course a lot of fun.

.

The people I work with are all so down to earth and nice and funny and mostly as young as me, it’s basically a typical student job. But the most important part is that as soon as all the visitors are inside the concert hall, we get to attend the concert as well. Of course not the whole time and not like other attendees – we can stand at the entrance, but no screaming or singing or clapping – but we always have breaks and who would I be if I didn’t rush into the venue as soon as I can? Not myself, that’s for sure.

.

I don’t get paid a lot of money, but I can go to the cinema and have a nice evening with some chai latte and cake with it and that’s all I need. And I can see bands live and go to concerts for free if I work at them and that’s more than I ever wished for when I applied for the job. When my co-workers first told me that I literally could go inside the venue and attend the concert, I nearly fainted due to the huge amount of excitement and happiness.

.

I remember two months ago I saw Sunrise Avenue and just this week I got to see Muse (such an amazing band with the coolest show ever – there were drones, DRONES) and 5 Seconds of Summer (again). I love how happy everyone is because, like, who wouldn’t be happy when they are going to a concert?

.

So yeah, it’s literally the coolest job ever and so damn perfect for me. That’s why I never want to “loose” it, because I can go to concerts, get some money and I can work whenever I have the time, it’s so relaxing. And the bosses and co-workers are so nice and cool, I literally never want to leave. Oh and did I tell you that I get to go backstage too? Just saying.

.

If any of you have got a cool student job like me or want to talk about anything and everything, I’m here. And until then, I hope you enjoyed this post and, as always, thanks for reading. x
