Merry Christmas

Hola everyone.

How are you guys? I hope you are all doing as good as me. And yes, I’m having an amazing time. First of all, it’s freaking Christmas. The days you spend time with your loved ones, your family, your friends. And it’s all about doing good, having fun, being happy and spreading love. How couldn’t you be happy at this time? And also, I am home. Finally. God, I’m so happy. But guys, if any of you aren’t as lucky as me – I know holidays aren’t always the easiest time – please know that I am always here for you and that you are strong an loved.

Actually, I just again wanted to wish you guys an amazing festive time with your family and friends. And that you have a lot of fun. And feel the love. And receive great presents. And just feel entirely happy.

I’m not sure if any of you want to know how I spent Christmas Eve, but maybe you are like me and really care about that, so I’ll just give you guys a short summary.

My Christmas

So, it kind of started with me finishing up the presents for my parents, which I actually love. Like, don’t you just love decorating presents and wrapping them into a christmas paper and putting them under the tree and seeing how all the colors fit and everything sparkles? Because I certainly do.

And after that we drove to grandmas where the family met up, like every year. Which I enjoyed so freaking much. I didn’t get to see them for over two whole months, so I loved meeting up with them again.

The hours went by so quickly and then it was already time for us to leave and drive back again to celebrate Christmas at home. Honestly, I had nothing to wish for this year. Because I already have everything I need and even more. More than I could have ever wished for. And me being at home with my family was the biggest gift ever. But as my parents are the best ever, they still got me some more stuff:

a book with 366 questions for me to answer every year for three years so I can see my development when it’s finished, which is so dreamy and cute and something that is so perfect for me and fits me like nothing else
a subscription for one whole year for one of my most favorite fashion magazines (yey, another thing I can look forward to every month)
a beautiful card – of course – and a small notebook for my to-do-lists, which I REALLY needed
and an Amazon Echo, which is a supercool speaker that thinks and learns and pretty much does whatever I tell it to do – like play music, so it’s again perfect for me

And after opening the presents, it was already like 11 pm and we shortly decided to end the evening by cuddling on the couch. Actually we put on the first Harry Potter movie, so it couldn’t have been any better. Oh and I also took some pictures throughout the whole day. As always the best ones are right at the end of the post. Please enjoy.

My weekend with mum and Merry Christmas

Hola everyone.

Christmas is just around the corner. Can you believe it? Because I certainly can’t, to be honest. The days just went by so quickly, it’s crazy. And as I told you last week, I still have one thing to do – tell you about my weekend with mum here in Berlin when she visited me.

First of all I have to say that it was really really amazing. I loved spending time with her, it was like a small holiday. So what did we do? On the first evening we just spent some quality time at home. Actually I picked her up from the airport when she got here in the evening. And then we just got home in my apartment and chatted. The next day, after work, we went to have dinner in a vietnamese restaurant, which was freaking amazing. And then we visited my favorite place in the city, a huge book – and a lot of other stuff – store. Until midnight and I’m not even kidding. And yes, people seriously still buy books on a Friday night.

On Saturday we went a little shopping and then went to the cinema to see the oh so beautiful movie “About Ray”, which I already told you about in my last post. What a great movie, holy moly. And then we just strolled around in town, visited a supercute cat café and again went for dinner – Mexican this time. Oh and then we walked to a really nice christmas market where I drank probably the best punch (the christmasy beverage, not what you are thinking) I’ve ever had.

And then the last day had already come. So we tried to make the most of it and went for a little brunch and then visited the famous flea market at the mauerpark. If any of you guys ever get the chance to go to Berlin, please please please visit this market. It’s like most Berlin thing you’ll see. For real. And then it was already time to bring my mum back to the airport.

So yeah, that was our weekend. Doesn’t sound like much, but it was really packed and really awesome. I loved every single moment.

Guys, I’d still like to talk about some other stuff. I know you’ve all probably heard about the terrorist attack here in Berlin. And yes, I’m alright. Actually before my dad had called me, I didn’t even know anything about it. After all those nice days with mum that really brought me back to earth, right to the ground. I was extremely shocked. I mean, terror isn’t something new, not this year (2016, we really need to talk). But being in like the same city, just a few miles away from the place of the attack is different. Too different for me to process it completely. I’m extremely sad for all the people who were affected by the attack and can just hope that next year will be better. I mean, we are all humans, we live on such a beautiful planet, why can’t we all just live in peace?

But christmas is coming, so let’s concentrate on the nice things, right? Anyways, I just wanted to thank you guys for being here and for reading my blog. You make me so happy, every single day of my life. I started this blog because I wanted to try it. I was curious. And I liked the idea of sharing the things I love and happiness with the world, with all of you. And I’ve loved it ever since. More and more every day. And let me tell you, 2017 is going to be a good year, a big one. I have a lot of things planned, a lot of them are just about to happen, so stay tuned. I hope you’re as excited as me. And until then, I wish you all the most amazing christmas and a beautiful time with your loved ones. Oh and if you want to, I’d be really excited to hear what you are all doing this christmas. Alohomora

Hola everyone.

The day has finally come guys. The day we get our beloved magic world full of potions, spells, witches, wands, Hogwarts and the boy who lived.

And yes, I’m talking about what you’re thinking that I’m talking about. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. And I probably have to thank J.K. Rowling for the rest of my life for introducing me to this world and letting me grow up with it.

To be honest, when I heard that there was going to be another Rowling movie in the theatres I completely freaked out. And I can tell you, it was sooooo worth my excitement, seriously.

So, I guess most of you probably know what the movie is all about, but I’m still going to give to you a short description. The movie is about a young guy called Newt Scamander, who travels to New York with a mysterious suitcase full of fascinating and fantastic creatures, which really want to get out of there. And when he gets there, suddenly introduces a Muggle to the magic world and nearly shows his world to the Muggles one, it all just gets worse. Oh and let’s not forget that Grindelwald is just waiting around the corner.

Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Actually, the movie is about a book Harry and Co. read in Hogwarts and how it was written – by Newt, of course. But as we all know now, there are already 4 more movies planned so I’m sooo damn excited for what’s to come.

As you can probably guess I watched the movie here in Berlin. And I think the whole experience was so much better and more awesome because I watched it in an IMAX cinema, with the biggest screen of Germany. Like, me and my friend got in there and we were shocked. I felt like a young kid at Disneyland. And oh my god, I loved it so much. I felt like I was IN the movie. It was so damn good. And worth every cent.

And of course the movie was just amazing. Eddie Redmanye is perfect for this role and the whole magic world thing. And he’s such a good actor. And of course the whole part of getting the Hogwarts magic world back completes the movie, which starts right at the beginning with the Harry Potter music playing. And the story itself is amazing. Gripping and soft and cute at the same time. Like in the old times with the first HP movies. The only thing I missed was that there was a little lack of information, so I would have loved to get a little bit deeper into the whole plot. But I guess that this was just the short introduction and it’s just going to get more intense with every upcoming movie.

So overall it was a really really really cool experience with an amazing movie and a whole lot of good old memories and magic. And I can’t even begin to explain to you how happy I am to have this whole world back in my life. It just makes me so damn happy. I missed it so much.

I can really just recommend you the movie and even if you haven’t seen the HP movies, you’ll love this one, I swear. Berlin – Black and White

Hola everyone.

So I know, this is usually the moment I do my little update about my life in Berlin, but actually there is nothing much to say.

Basically I’m just adjusting to the city and the life here, getting used to it, doing stuff, seeing things and enjoying it as much as I can. And a part of that is walking around with my camera. Unfortunately winter is coming which means the sun is already saying goodbye when I’m just getting out of bed on weekends. So yeah, pretty stupid. And yes, I really sleep that long and yes, I love it.

But I thought, how could I take nice pics without bothering what time it is. And then I remembered how fascinating black and white pics are and I just made a whole project out of it – my view of Berlin at night in black and white (that rhymed).

Growing Up

Hola everyone.

So today I want to talk about something I am now confrontef with every single day. And I will for the next two months and later on for the rest of my life. Today I want to talk about how I feel about having to grow up and being an actual grown up.

Now that I’m living alone in Berlin, with no actual grown up members of my family that even live in the same country, I am completely depended on myself. And holy moly, I can tell you, I never imagined that it could be this tough. As far as I remember, until now, I always had my parents around who would do all the grown up stuff for me. And of course that made life a lot easier. And now that I am in Berlin on my own, I have to do all of this stuff myself, which brings me to the point that I noticed how much the current situation taught me about life as a grown up:

Go for a walk once in a while, even if you’re alone
Telecom companies are straight from hell
Google is your best friend
Cooking for yourself all the time takes longer than you think
While being alone, you really get to know a lot about yourself
Doing things on your own like going to the cinema isn’t weird, but actually is normal
Life without your own washing machine makes everything a lot more complicated
The same without a dishwasher and a microwave
Late night shops are the best thing ever
YouTube, a good movie or tv show can save the day,
If you don’t like your current situation, change something about it
You’re never too old to need your parents
You can do whatever you want, just be happy
Animals and plants make everything so much better
WhatsApp is a gift from heaven
I still sometimes feel like I’m 12 and that’s okay (actually, it’s awesome)
Book stores are the perfect place to take a break from the world
Love life

So yeah, this is how I feel about living the life of a grown up here in Berlin. And maybe you feel the same. Anyway, I am still pretty happy that I can get back to being a child without this huge pack of responsibilities when I get back home in February. I don’t really feel ready for being and doing this here for the rest of my life, I still need some off-let’s be a child -time.

Huge haul

Hola everyone.

The day has finally come. I know I promised to post this already weeks ago but somehow I never got the time to finally do it, but know I did. Hallelujah.

So as you know I was in England for a week with my mum in August – Brighton and Reading – and then I visited my friend Mati in Croatia. And of course I had to go shopping, how couldn’t I? The shopping list started with some clothing pieces and went on and on until it ended with books and some special accessories. So I would like to show my precious purchases to all of you guys. Enjoy.

Clothes

Okay, actually it’s more like just tops, precisely one t-shirt – the most important piece of the whole haul – and four sweaters. But hey, autumn has already arrived and winter is coming and I have to be prepared.

Right now I’m completely obsessed with the sweaters they sell at Pull and Bear. They are just so comfy and big. The perfect size for being a nice oversize sweater I want to stay in forever. And it fits perfectly and looks just perfect. And besides that they all have some cool embroidered messages on them which make them even more amazing. The first one I bought was in Brighton. I just had to. Mostly because of it’s writing that says “Nobody cares if you don’t go to the party”, which is just so damn relatable and true. I’ve always been that one person that doesn’t go to parties, even though all the others did and called me boring. Because I simply didn’t care t all. That’s why the sweater is a perfect match for me. It emphasizes my lifestyle and the person I am.

The second one I bought was in Zagreb. It’s exactly the same one as the first one, just in a green color and with the Harry Potter related writing saying “I’m busy making a potion”. And let’s be honest, everything that’s Harry Potter related is just pure awesomeness. On the same day I also bought my really special rainbow sweater. I j´saw that one at Pull and Bear and just wanted it to be mine. Not just because it looks freaking amazing, but also because it’s my way of telling the world that I support the LGBT+ community. Most people will just look at me wearing it and see a cool rainbow sweater, but for me it’s my kind of support. And I love that.

The last sweater I bought is some kind of flattery poof black crop top volant type of thing. I bought it at Zara in Reading. Actually I just wanted to try it on and see how it looks but then I stayed it in the whole time when my mum was trying on other things. And that pretty much meant that I would keep it. That’s my thing. If I try something on and keep it on until I have to leave the changing rooms, it’s practically mine. There’s no other way out. And that was the case with this top.

And now the most important piece. My precious. You know that I love Fall Out Boy. And I finally got to see them live at Reading festival. And you know that I love band merch. I always buy one t-shirt whenever I’m attending a concert. And you probably guessed it by now – of course I had to buy a FOB t-shirt. And it’s seriously one of the most valuable pieces of clothing in my whole wardrobe. Because it has such a huge meaning for me. And besides that it just looks freaking cool. I mean, look it at. They band is cool, the shirt is cool, everything about this is unbelievably cool and amazing and perfect. And I love it. With all of my heart.

Other stuff

Now that we all know that clothes are not the real thing on their own, of course I had to buy some other stuff. The first thing on my list were books. I’ve been obsessed with reading good books lately, so I flew over to England with my list of books I wanted to buy and thankfully I did get all of them.

The Potion Diaries by Amy Alward
Harry Potter And The Cursed Child by J. K. Rowling

I read the Harry Potter one right after we bought it, I just had to. And by the way, it’s amazing. And currently I’m reading When We Collided which is also really really awesome. I can highly recommend it. And all the others too, of course.

Besides that we also bought some other things. When mum and me were strolling around in town in Brighton we walked past a painting pottery cafe which I recognized from one of Marzias blogs (Pewdiepies girlfriend). So of course we had to walk in and the next day we went back to actually paint some pottery. I chose to paint a heart, write Brighton on it and paint some flowers and other stuff on it so it would look nice. And I have to say I really enjoyed it, I loved it to be honest. It was so relaxing and it reminded me of how much I love art and painting. And on the last day which was also the next one I got my finished heart back, which was supercool and so nice of them because I told them that we would leave on this day so they finished it extra fast for me. The heart is now hanging on my wall and I look at it and it places a smile of my face every time.

And when we were at Reading festival I also bought some badges for my bags and other things. That’s like another one of my traditions, I started it when we attended Sziget festival last year. And now even my mum has a badge on her bag. Our stuff is like a display for all the experiences we’ve made. Oh and we also bought three sings, one for mums office, one for our whole family and one for my room. Going shopping in Brighton is really amazing and fascinating, because there are so many vintage shops and little shops that sell stuff you’d never get in conventional stores. And I really love that.

So, there you go. Those are the things I bought in the past two months, some in the UK, some in Croatia. But all of them are amazing and totally lovely.
